Karma- The Law Of Cause And Effect

We all talk about karma, but what really is karma? Karma is the spiritual law of cause and effect. For every cause, there is an equal and corresponding effect. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. For example, if we throw a ball into the air, it will come down to earth again. Throwing the ball upward is the cause and its resulting downward return to earth is its effect. In the spiritual realm, this is a bit complicated. It pertains to a spiritual force or energy that is released that must result in the return of the same force or energy into equilibrium. One cannot get away with a crime or sin. What was hidden in the dark will be exposed in the light when we face our stern but loving Judge. Even our hidden thoughts will be exposed to the light. But we have an assurance of forgiveness from the Lord if we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior and confess our sins to Him. As the Book of Isaiah says, "though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool"(Isaiah 1:18). Our sins are washed clean by the blood of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ as though we have never committed any sin at all. Even its guilt and punishment are already paid for by the Lord. What remain are the consequences of sins for which we may suffer for quite some time as the resulting habit and evil inclination are being erased so that we will be transformed to the likeness and image of Jesus Christ. As Jesus is the Lord of the sabbath, He is also the Lord of karma for He already paid the full price of our sins.

I had some kind of Karma the other day and I learn something from it. God is really great that he will show the right way as long as you pray hard for guidance. Thanks Mel, I always learn something from your blog.

I thought that I already wrote my comment, I probably did not click.

Understanding the concept of "cause and effect" is very important in our lives.
Mel, there are different interpretations, but
your reasoning makes sense.

Every action produces an equal and opposite reaction. Every time we think or do to something, we create a cause, which in time will bear its corresponding effects.

The Law of Cause and Effect:
"Every Cause has its Effect; every Effect has its Cause, everything happens according to the Law, Chance is but a name for Law not recognized, there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the Law."
(The Seven Principles of the Universe)

Thank you Mel for great post!

Thank you Jesus our Savior!

God bless!

ang mga tao ngayon lalo na iyong mga maimpluwensya kapag hindi sila nahatulan o nagbayad sa kanilang malaking kasalanan dahil kanila ang batas ang uusig sa kanila ay ang batas ng karma..

Hi Shy,
With the Lord, there is forgiveness of sins as if we did not sin at all but the consequences of sin (that's karma) stay. We still have to suffer for that. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

Hi Krystyna,
Yes, we are responsible for our acts and thoughts but Jesus Christ bore all the punishment for them by dying on the cross. We just have to accept Him as our Lord and savior to avail of the forgiveness of sins and eternal life. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Krystyna,
Yes, you have already made a previous comment but I probably did not notice that. Yes, I am well aware of that my friend since karma is used by Hinduism and Buddhism in their own doctrines. Their karma is different in the sense that karma for them is intertwined with their doctrines of reincarnation and evolution. This is directly contradicted by Hebrews 9:27 which states, "It is appointed for man to die once and after that judgment." That is why there is no meeting ground for these religions with Christian beliefs. And they can never be synthesized with Christian beliefs either. Either you accept one and reject the other and vice versa. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

I also believe in the law of cause and effect or KARMA, good or bad.. na-prove ko na po kasi, bumabalik sa kin yung mga masamang ginawa ko at doble blessing naman pag may ginagawa ako mabuti. Kaya we people should always remember the Golden Rule =)

Mel Avila Alarilla said...

Hi Bambie dear,
How right you are. God bless you all always.
