We develop cravings and desires which nurture discontent in our lives. We compare ourselves with others and begin to covet what others have which we do not have. Soon a spirit of bitterness and covetousness develops in our hearts. To counteract this, we must be willing to surrender everything we got at the foot of the cross and have them nailed to the cross with our Lord Jesus Christ. Then we are born again to the transcendent world of pure joy and ecstasy in our hearts, knowing fully well that we will enjoy eternal life with our God.
