Are We Living In An Upside-Down, Inside-Out World?

Here are some of the glaring posts I gathered from other blogs:

1) Rose DesRoschers- Cited a news item regarding a pedophile activist who was exploiting daughters of US politicians by plastering their daughters' pictures all over his girl loving website.
She was aghast at the brazenness of the pedophile and urged the legislators to sue him.

2) Paris Unleashed- While walking near her place, she saw 10 to 12 pieces of freshly cut cat tails hanging like banners in a post. Probably a work of a psychotic sadist or a bizarre ritual of a satanic cult.

3) From another blog- Blogger made disparaging remarks about the Bible and the Book of Mormons calling them absurd. He trumpets that he is a buddhist.

4) Dr. Gwenn cited the prevailing discrimination and harassment in the workplace for lactating mothers who want to breastfeed their infants. Breastfeeding was considered an aberration in the workplace.

5) Paris Unleashed- Cited a news item regarding a multi million dollar pyramid scam in the internet among Filipino subscribers.

6) Another female blogger was trumpeting her long distance lesbian relationship with a younger girl.

Elsewhere,

7) We see high tech geniuses putting their destructive viruses online to wreak havoc to billion dollar businesses and disrupting vital operations worldwide.

8) We see religious fanatics and terrorists blowing up people's lives and properties, all in the name of their god and religious beliefs.

9) Lesbian and homosexual marriages are solemnized and legalized in many parts of the US and some parts of the world.

10) Abortion becomes an ordinary medical procedure in many clinics in many countries around the world.

The list goes on and on and on. WHAT'S HAPPENING TO OUR WORLD? Some people are no longer ashamed to do evil. They even flaunt their abominable deeds for all the world to see.
To them, evil becomes "good" and perversion becomes the accepted norm.

Destruction, hatred, bitterness, cursing and slander, religious bigotry, racial and cultural
discrimination, hypocrisy, indecency, debauchery, even bestiality are the accepted norms to some.

They have made our world an upside down, inside-out world.

I remember a saying that goes, "for the forces of evil to triumph in this world, it is enough that a few good men will do nothing."

I rest my case.

(With due apologies to Misses Rose DesRoschers, Paris Unleashed and Dr. Gwenn for mentioning your names in a non disparaging light. You all have my highest respect and admiration for your respective advocacies.)

Mel,
i truly hope you didn't misunderstand me and i am very sorry if you did--i am glad you have 'muddled' my mind and i don't see you as having a holier than thou attitude

maybe the reason i found you is because you do live by the words of the Bible--in such a short time you have offered many scriptures that you thought i might find helpful (and i did)--you opened my eyes in ways no one else ever has--i am thankful for that

i think that i have battled (in my mind) against the religious 'institution' for so long i may have lost the fundamentals--i was never very religious to begin with and, until you, there was nothing out there that ever gave me pause to think

in some respects, i wish i had found you sooner--in such a short time you have taught me so much--maybe this is just the beginning for me--i don't know, but by writting my post i felt like i let go of a lot of things i resented about religion.

i look forward to your posts and the wonderful comments you leave--thank you for planting this seed

You are right, this world is upside down and inside out, but there is still a bit of sanity within the craziness.

Dear Marie,
Thanks for the very kind and generous words, but to God be the glory. No, I never misunderstood you. In fact, I fully understand you and the whole processes going on inside you. I leave that to the Holy Spirit to fully enlighten you.

Everything that is happening to you is by the grace of God. He is just using me as an instrument to reach out to you. As you said, the seed has been planted in your heart and in due time, by the tender loving care of prayers and the word of God, it will grow, mature and blossom into a robust tree that will yield fruits in its season.

The Lord has put this burden in my heart. And I am praying mightily for you, for Marie (Fledgling), Amateur Dancer, Venice, Shebee, Pjbrubak, Emmyrose (she has lupus),
and all those who are suffering from bipolar disorders and other painful illnesses. From one who has undergone so much pain and sicknesses from my own body (and who has been mercifully delivered by the Lord), I fully commiserate with the heavy burdens you are all carrying on your shoulders.

That is why, I am pointing you to the One who delivered me from all these pains and sufferings- my Lord and Savior- Jesus Christ.

There is no hidden agenda on my part to convert anybody to my beliefs. I am just relating to others my own personal experiences with Jesus.

Thank you again for all the kind and generous words you have given me. I will always treasure them till I die.

God bless you with all the wisdom, love and joy from the Holy Spirit to guide and keep you in your journey to life's discoveries.

Dear Jade,
Thanks for visiting my blog and for your very kind and considerate comments.

I am glad that you have a very optimistic view of life. Yes, there is still sanity, and may I add, decency, in this world. I do not believe that we will ever permit ourselves to live in an upside down, inside-out world.

Thanks again for your visit and feel free to visit again, to browse and make any comments. I don't censor comments except if the language used is vulgar and indecent. I will accept any form of criticism, constructive or otherwise.

God bless you with all the wonderful things in life.

Hey Mel, You came to my blog a while a back and left a message and you also visited a couple of my friends blogs so I thought I would drop in and visit yours. Ummm I cant help but notice you seem to have issues with homosexuality. I dont think you realize but some of the blogs you have been visiting and commenting on are those of lesbians. I am concerned that when you visit blogs from other lists that you may suddenly realize this. Please be kind. I would not want my friends to be hurt. After you all you are dropping in on THEIR blogs.......please be considerate and do not go slamming their lifestyles ok? You seem to be a nice man. I hope that is the case.

Mel Avila Alarilla said...

Dear Raine,
Thanks for dropping by and browsing my blog. I am sorry and I do apologize if I may have stepped on somebody else toes. I never meant to disparage any group or criticize others for their behavior. I know I have no right to do so. I am just stating my own opinion.

Regarding my dropping by on other blogs, yes I do so, but I am always respectful and ask their permission to make a comment. I never make any disparaging or unfairly critical remarks. I am doing this to widen the readership base of my blog.

I know I can never please all people because I chose controversial topics. Well, I feel everybody has the right to express their own opinion and if in the process, I hurt the sensibilities of some people, I am man enough to humbly apologize to them.

Thanks again for dropping by and God bless you with all the pleasant things in life.

Hi Mel,

I had a talk with my cell group mates today and they complain to me on how difficult it is to be a Christian in this cruel world..

Well, I can relate to that but one thing I know we must convey to the ways of the world and we must stand firm in our faith.

I know its easier said than done when just like in your post we are living in an upside-down, inside out world its really a struggle to live accordingly in God's eyes but I always tell my other Christian friends that we must be careful, because we shouldn't be blinded by the ways of the world. We must always let others see the "Christ" we have in our lives for in this way we can honor God.

God bless you and your family.

I guess these things you speak about have been bothering you for some time.

I do agree that some things in this world are very disturbing. Having said that, this is America and people have the power of the 1st amendment on their side to say and write whatever they choose.

I have accepted the reality that "I can't fight the world..I can't change it". Since acceptance I am less frustrated and angry about these kinds of things so I just let stuff like this go. It has helped me more than you know!

PS-If I forgot to mention, you have a very nice family. Your princess is adorable! I love kids. One of the sadnesses in my life was that I never had any of my own.

Mel Avila Alarilla said...

Dear Emmyrose,
I should have written this comment to you since yesterday but our internet connection was out for almost two days, so it is only now that I made this comment.

Thanks for visiting my blog again. It is always a great pleasure to see Christians patronizing my blog. Of course non Christians are very much welcome to this blog and I do not prejudice against them.

I purposely did not leave any comment on your latest post since it was a very personal post for a special person. I feel that I will be intruding into something very personal and emotional for you if I meddle into something I am not part of.

Anyway, I want you to know that I commiserate with you as you battle against all those pains and heartaches that are confronting you right now. I can only offer you prayers that the Lord will give you special graces so that you can overcome this trial as soon as possible. It's just too much for you to bear, since you are already physically in pain because of your lupus sickness. But God's unfailing love and tender mercies are beyond comprehension. You will have your healing and deliverance very soon. Just "Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord." (Psalm 27:14)

Just remember that we are the "salt of the earth and light of the world." Let our light shine (through good deeds not just empty words)so that God will be glorified by our good deeds.

Thanks again and I will always pray for your healing, happiness and success in life. God bless you with all the graces to overcome all your trials.

Dear Marie,
Thank you very much for visiting my blog again and for making a very considerate and kind remarks. I truly appreciate that.

I don't have any quarrel with them nor am I raising a howl over their actuations. What they do is no concern of mine. We all do as we pleased. I am just raising my own opinion of what's happening around through my own perspective, and I am not about to rally a crusade against any segment of society. If any sector feel slighted by what I wrote, I don't mind apologizing if my attention is called accordingly. No big deal.

Thank you again for visiting my blog and for your very kind comment. I hope you are doing better in your own struggles against bipolar.

God bless you with His abundance of grace and tender mercies.

Hi Mel, it's fine with me. Yeah, we are living in a different world now. Where hold-up seems to be a common thing among people now. I just wish that good people wouldn't let this and do something if they see bad things happen. The world is sometime a cruel yet sweet place.

The only reason for evil to succeed is when the good men does nothing - I forgot who said this

heiresschild said...

hi mel, so true, so true. the world has become upside-down and inside-out. we have seen the Bible come to life. people's minds are in darkness, and they're calling good evil, turning to their own lusts, foolish thinking, and reasonings. a lot of what goes on is because people refuse to acknowledge God, and take heed to the Word of God, but God still has a people who walk upright before Him. there's no perfect person, but God sees the hearts of each one, and He's looking for people who have hearts after Him. great post.

Dear Paris,
So nice to hear from you again. Thanks for visiting my blog and for the kind permission you gave me to mention your two posts in this post. Thanks also for the usual very kind and generous comments.

I'm so amazed at the maturity of your thinking and what you stand and fight for in life. So young yet so much concerned with issues that affect our way of life. Kudos for that. I'm looking forward to seeing Rata.... eh, I can't spell it out. Basta maganda siya kasi sinabi mo.

It's a privilege to have you as my blog friend and correspondent. You are always welcome here.

God bless you with all the finer things in life.

Hi Heiresschild,
Thanks for visiting my blog again and for the very warm and kindhearted comments you made regarding my post. Nice to know that there are still true blooded Christians who make their stand for God's agenda and advocacies. It seems, though, that we are in the minority and our voices are being muffled by the blaring sounds of wanton celebrations of worldly existence.

We must become the salt of the earth and the light of the world so that Christ glory may stand out for all the world to see.

Thanks for your very inspiring comments. You made my day. God bless you with all the wonderful things, all the finer things that the world can offer.

Hello Mel,

I noticed you commenting on some of my friends blogs, so I thought I would check out yours. Your blog is very insightful, and I admire your courage in picking topics that are a sore topic to most people. They however do need to be addressed, and I am glad to see someone addressing them.

The world according to the Christian bible will not approve but will continue ot get worse. It will take people like you who speak out with courage and with out shame to stand against the evil going on in our world.

Thank you for your stand, and bringing a little bit of enlightment to your readers.

Hey Mel, most unfortunately I'd have to say that yes, our world has turned upside down....The things we see and hear....But it's all part of a plan and in my opinion we're reaching the end times, Jesus Christ has his hand on the doorknob he's just waiting for the time to open the door. It's coming and it's coming fast. Unfortunately we cannot stop all of these horrible things from happening. But there's one thing we can do, witness to all peoples of all nations.
May the Lord be with you.

heiresschild said...

hi mel, you are such an encouragement to me and others. even though we as Christians seem to be in the miniority, and it seems that our sounds are being muffled, we still press on because we know that things are not always what they "seem" to be.

God's Word will not return unto Him void and without effect; and His Word will accomplish what it's supposed to do, that which God pleases and purposes; and it will prosper everywhere it's sown. Because The Word is life, it will produce and bring forth life. as you said, we must be salt and light for the world to see.

every time i meet another Christian in person, or here on the blogs, i'm encouraged. your blog has opened up a whole new group of Christian's blog for me to visit. those are seeds sown.

while we know everyone won't be saved for eternal life, God's Word is certainly going forth and is being sown in many hearts across the world. keep doing what you're doing.

Hi Mel, You've visited my blog a number of times and I have been remiss (perhaps a little overwhelmed? or lazy?) in visiting yours.

You do a lot of good in encouraging bloggers to look to Jesus and that's so very much needed in this upside-down, inside-out world.

We need to stand up for what we believe is right. We need to follow Jesus and represent him in this world. And we should pray each day, through God gathering the courage and energy we need to help make the world a better place.

I've been writing a lot lately in my blog about demons and Satan and such things. This has been as it applies - or does not apply - to people who live with mental illness. I've been upset with the belief that these evil elements are the direct cause of mental illness.(though, of course, Satan is behind every illness)

But Satan IS at work in the world. We need to shut him out by fully embracing the Holy Spirit within us, by focussing on Christ, by focusing on what is good and wholesome.

May God help us discern the right from the wrong. And may we draw close to him in prayer and the reading of his Word each day so that this will be possible.

Dear Mysti,
Thanks for visiting my blog and for the very generous and meaningful comments you made. To God be the glory. You are most welcome to visit my blog. I will be visiting yours too, as soon as I finish my latest post.

Dear Sarah,
Thanks for visiting my blog again and for making a very insightful comment and revelation. You are always welcome to visit my blog.

I praise the Lord for the wonderful transformation He has made to you. Surely, you will be a most effective witness for the Lord to the ends of the earth. And that is a miracle, the miracle of transformation. And only the quickening work of the Holy Spirit can do that. Just like what He did to Paul. From Paul- the tormentor and persecutor, to Paul- the great defender and propagator of the Christian faith to all the world.

Thanks again for visiting my blog.
God bless you with all the great gifts that the Holy Spirit shall endow you, to strengthen and empower you.

Dear Heiresschild,
Thanks again and again for visiting my blog and for the very warm and encouraging comments you made. But to God be the glory.

God has blessed you with wisdom beyond your age and He is molding you to be a channel of His wonderful grace and blessings to the world. Just be sensitive to the workings of the Holy Spirit in your life. God's mighty army needs youthful soldiers like you who will not be afraid to do battle against the onslaught and attacks of the enemy.

Thank you again for the generous and heartwarming remarks you made. You always make my day.

God bless you with all the youthful exuberance and zest for God's service and glory.

Dear Marja,
Thanks for visiting my blog and for the very profound and insightful comments you made. It's a distinct honor and privilege for me that you visit my blog. I always admire and respect your works, even your art works, as they address the compelling needs of the times.

Your campaign to change the Christian perspective on sickness, especially bipolar, is truly laudable. Its really sad to see some Christians labeling all diseases, especially mental ones, as results of sin or of demon oppressions. Instead of commiserating and giving comfort to their sick brothers and sisters, these misguided Christians even resort in persecuting and maligning them. God have mercy on their souls.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog again and more power to your advocacies.

God bless you with all the wit, wisdom, warmth and gentleness of life.
