He acted in, directed, scripted, produced, and eventually scored his own films. Chaplin was also one of the most creative and influential personalities in the silent film era. Chaplin's high-profile public and private life encompassed highs and lows with both adulation and controversy.

His principal character was "The Tramp" (known as "Charlot" in France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Romania, Greece and Turkey). "The Tramp" is a vagrant with the refined manners and dignity of a gentleman. The character wears a tight coat, over sized trousers and shoes, a derby, carries a bamboo cane, and has a signature toothbrush mustache.

i like silent movies... i was not born on that era..ikaw? hehehe.. but, we could clearly understand what they want to us to understand even if we could only see their actions...

Perhaps the most important thing we ever give each other is our
attention…. A loving silence often has far more power to heal and to connect than the most well-intentioned words.

Hi Miss Kurdapya,
No, I was not born yet during those times or else you might be communicating with a ghost. He, he, he *lol* I love silent movies though. They convey a pure message of simplicity and excellence that can not be surpassed even by modern block busters. Thanks for dropping by and sorry for the delayed comments. Our internet provider was out of order for two days. Thanks God it's okay now. Smile always. God bless and have a wonderful and exciting weekend.

Oh yes, I agree with you Krystyna. Nobody can do what he has done with so limited a range of expression tools. And yet he was able to convey all the emotions and character that no modern movie personality could ever hope to do. He was the first to perfect acting through the eyes. And his slapstick routine are beyond compare. Thanks for your usual visit. Smile always. God bless and have a very wonderful and meaningful weekend.

Hi Adam,
Thanks for dropping by although your blog could not be accessed. I'll think your proposal over. Although I do want to earn side money on blogging, I do not want to jeopardize the integrity of my blogs by sidetracking readers to many ads. I have my own purpose for blogging. Anyway, I am not closing my door to that possibility. Thanks for dropping by and I hope you will have your blog accessible too. God bless.
