When The Lord Comes, Will He Find Us Faithful?

WHEN THE LORD COMES, WILL HE FIND US FAITHFUL?
We may be in the dark, so cold and lonely, unable to see any light in our darkened existence. We may be already at the edge of a precipitous cliff ready to jump into the deep chasm of nothingness. We started out so well in our lives. We were nurtured in the best values, the best education, the best love and care that our parents could muster for us. Where did we go wrong?

It all started when we chose the wrong path for our lives. It all started when we asserted our own independence from God. So we lived by the principles of this world. So we lived by the norm of "dog eats dog." And in the process, somehow we changed. We lost all the principles and values that were ingrained in our hearts and minds by the molders of our soul. We knew that there was a God but He seemed so far away and somehow, we found it harder and harder to relate to Him. And so we wallowed more and more in our worldly existence, drowning ourselves in the inebriating wine of wanton living. But all of these things have left us with emptiness in our hearts. We felt the gnawing pain of loneliness and the virtual isolation of our soul. Somehow our soul yearns for a different existence, one that exudes true joy and peace in our hearts.

It is never too late to turn our backs to worldly living and to retrace our steps back to the pathway to God's kingdom. All it takes is to humble ourselves before the Lord, repent our sins, and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Then His most precious blood will wash immaculately clean all the stains of sins and guilt in our hearts as we become born again in Spirit and truth.

It is never too late. WHEN THE LORD COMES, WILL HE FIND US FAITHFUL?

That was so well expressed!

So true that how in the lust for fame, money and so many worldly things,we move away from what is right. As you said,it is never too late to bring one's life back on track.God always forgives repentance felt by a true heart.

Take care my friend.God Bless You and your family always.

Hi Sameera,
Thanks for your visit. I really miss you so much my dear friend. I'm so glad that I did not lose you at all. Yes, sometimes in our struggles to eke out a name for ourselves, we lose track of how we are doing it. We may become successful in attaining our worldly goals but in the process, we become so alienated and far from God.
Then, our success becomes empty and devoid of any lasting joy of achievement. Better to look after the welfare of the dispossessed and the downtrodden, for then we make a name in heaven for ourselves. Thanks for your most welcome visit and for your generous comments. Have a wonderful and great day in Dubai. God bless.

that's the will of God...

i just want to share this to you and your readers in relation to your post.. ;)

The will of God will never take you,
Where the grace of God cannot keep you.
Where the arms of God cannot support you,
Where the riches of God cannot supply your needs,
Where the power of God cannot endow you.

The will of God will never take you,
Where the spirit of God cannot work through you,
Where the wisdom of God cannot teach you,
Where the army of God cannot protect you,
Where the hands of God cannot mold you.

The will of God will never take you,
Where the love of God cannot enfold you,
Where the mercies of God cannot sustain you,
Where the peace of God cannot calm your fears,
Where the authority of God cannot overrule for you.

The will of God will never take you,
Where the comfort of God cannot dry your tears,
Where the Word of God cannot feed you,
Where the miracles of God cannot be done for you,
Where the omnipresence of God cannot find you.

I honestly hope he finds me faithful... My love for Jesus is so personal and special... In this day and age, I want to tell those that are down trodden how wonderful he is.. I have run upon people that don't believe and that mock his name.. It really makes me so sad.. I need his strength to get though those things..
God Bless you, and continue your wonderful work of telling people about Jesus!

faith will release all the burden ,worries and fears inside us. But like anyone else, I am just human to worry, and afraid with a lot of things in life and these are the things that give us burden. But you know what, nobody is giving us fears and worries but ourselves.

My mom always reminding when I was growing up to not conform to this world.
Not all who said they are Christians are really living by the reflection of "Christ" in their lives.
Most of the time they fall into temptation or carnality of this world. Satan works double time to those who already accepted Christ he want to snatch the believers to God.

we are in this world, yet not of this world. when growing up, i'd say to my mom, "but everyone else is doing it." which really EVERYONE wasn't, just my friends, but my mom would say, "if everyone jumped off a bridge, would you?" when we want to go in our own way, we don't understand things at that time, but now, being a Christian, i understand about doing it God's way, and not the way of the world, not even the way of myself--strictly God's way. i definitely want to be found faithful in God's eyesight.

Hi Miss Kurdapya,
Thanks for your visit and for the very inspiring quotation you gave. Truly, God's will for us will never go wrong. It is when we exercise our own puny will without aligning it with the will of God that makes us commit mistakes and sometimes we may even stray away from His path. Thanks again for the quotation. God bless you and your family always.

Hi MIssissippi Songbird,
You know my Christian friend, we are already living in the pretribulation period that is why you hear so many mockers of Jesus Christ. As in the days of Noah, people will be caught celebrating and living it up with all the pleasures in the world. I hope they will open their eyes before it becomes too late for them to return back to the Lord. Thanks for your visit and your very meaningful comments. God bless you and your family always.

Hi Tey,
Thanks for the wonderful award but I have to give it to my Lord Jesus Christ for whom I write and do everything in my life. I only live to please Him and give glory to His name. Thanks for the wonderful gesture. I really appreciate that. God bless you and your family always. We never worry. We turn our worries to the Lord. He will always take care of us as a Father does to His child.

Hi Sarah,
How right you are my sister in Christ. I have received quite a lot of letters from so called Christian brethren in America and I'm saddened when they expressed shock with the things I have wrote. To some of them, accepting Jesus Christ is just like that and they are assured of eternal salvation whatever they do in their lives. It is the doctrine of "once saved, always saved." But that is a very dangerous doctrine to hold on to. To many Christians who have backslided and returned to their sinful way of living, can they ever expect God to take them in heaven with all the stains of their sins. "Once saved, always saved" simply means that the grace of salvation has already been given. But like all gifts of God, it can be lost by our own free will. A Christian's only consolation is that the Holy Spirit will always convict him of sin and even at the last moment of his life, he will be afforded the chance to repent and return to the Lord. Without true repentance, he is doomed to eternal damnation. Why do you think Satan will still bother us Christians if we are already assured of permanent salvation? He is like a roaring lion seeking whom to devour. And he seeks Christians like you and me. Paul also said, "continue to work out your salvation." The Bible also said, by the fruit, you will know the tree. What fruit will these pseudo Christians bear but the sour fruits of their sinful living? It's a classic case of they want to have their cake and eat it too. They're Christians for convenience and trappings but they do not give glory to God with their lives. Sorry for the long answer. I was just inspired to write them. A true Christian will be transformed by the Holy Spirit from glory to glory until he reach the whole measure of the fullness of Jesus Christ. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you and your family always.

Hi Heiresschild,
I'm very sorry that I criticized some Christians in America but I am only criticizing those who have backslided and have returned to the ways of the world. You are a true and devout Christian, one whom I am very privileged to call my friend. Your mother was right. Not because all people are doing it makes it become right. That is right by common acceptance, but the ways of God are opposed to the ways of man.
We may look silly in their worldly eyes but that's because we live to please God rather than men and we do everything for His glory alone. This is the time of the pretribulation period and God is shaking the world to find out who is really His and who is of the world. Many will call Him on that day Lord, Lord, but the Lord will cast them away and say, I do not know you. Depart from Me you accursed of this world. God bless those who are truly His and are doing His mighty will on earth. They will be found faithful when He returns to earth. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you and your family always.

Hi MEL
Thanks for the gr8 spiritual posting that's so inspiring.I always love to read your writing even we have different faith..it doesn't matter coz I took the good lesson from it.

What you said is true.We always follow what the maxim Romans say, do as the Romans do without thinking that majority doesn't mean gr8 or true, sometimes majority just means a bunch of morons that click together went for fame, money, lust and materialistically as long as they get what they want to satisfy themselves in this world regardless right or wrong.

The truth is,it's never too late to turn our backs to worldly living and steps back to the pathway to God's kingdom once we realized it.God the Al-Mighty is always forgiven, listen and watching us...

Wishing you a gr8 week ahead.Take care mel.

Hi Noushy,
Thanks my dear friend that our difference in faith does not come between our friendship. I have such a high respect for your own spirituality and I know that you are doing the best you can to serve and honor God in your life. Remember that not everything that most men do are right in the eyes of God. What matters is that we please God in everything that we do. Thanks for your visit and for your generous comments. Have a great and wonderful day in London always. God bless you and your family always.

Hi Keshi,
Yes, most people pursue after the illusory things in life, but after they have them, they are left holding an empty bag. Most things sought after by people are traps for the soul. Thanks for your visit and wonderful comments. Have a great and wonderful day always. God bless you and your loved ones.

Hi Krystyna,
Thanks for your inspiring comments. Most of my answers to comments were inspired. I answered them automatically as if by automatic writing. Be faithful to our Lord because His time of coming is drawing near. The Lord looks now at the hearts of people to find out who is His and who bows down to the lord of this world. It is better to be found faithful by Him upon His return than to be found patronizing the worldly activities of men. There will be no more time to repent for judgment will already be upon men. Thanks for your visit and your wonderful comments. God bless you and your family always.

Mel Avila Alarilla said...

Hi Raaji,
Yes it is never too late as of now but there will come a time that judgment is already upon men and there will no longer be any time to repent. May we make use of our precious time to correct our lives. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you and your family always.

that's ok Mel about criticizing American Christians; however, i'm sure that same problem exists in other parts of the world. i understand it's just the American ones who have probably written you. i'm not offended at all.

Mel Avila Alarilla said...

Hi Heiresschild,
I'm really very sorry. I should not have generalized. I agree with you that some Christians in other parts of the world are suffering from the same problem. It is not an exclusive problem of some American Christians. I pray to the Lord that He takes care to remove the widespread apostasy in the world. The teachings of Jesus Christ as contained in the Bible are emasculated and diluted by some Christians who want to have their cake and eat it too. Thanks for your wonderful understanding. God bless you and your family always.
