Amazing Love
All the religions in the world prescribe norms of salvation centered mainly on what the person must do to attain eternal life. All of the religions of the world focus on the accomplishment of man to transcend his evil ways and become a godly man through acts of good works and piety. Thus salvation, according to these religions, is accomplished by what man does to himself. Man must accomplish his own salvation. Christianity differs in its approach to salvation. To the Christian, salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Thus, no amount of good works alone can carry man to his own salvation without the saving faith in Jesus Christ. To the philosophers, this is salvation by vicarious atonement. The punishment that should have been heaped on sinful man was voluntarily shouldered by Jesus Christ. The Man without sin became sin to save the lost. Thus salvation is attained through faith in Jesus Christ by accepting Him as our Lord and savior. It is a deep mystery of supreme love and sacrifice that the King of kings and the Lord of lords, the Creator of all things seen and unseen, should die in our place. And because of that, we have access to eternal life. The only price we have to pay is to humble ourselves before God and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior. The writings are on the wall. We are nearing the end times. And to those who steadfastly waited on the Lord and have been faithful to Him till the end, they will be rewarded when He finally comes back to earth. THAT IS HIS AMAZING LOVE FOR HIS FLOCK.
