Bless And Be A Conduit Of God's Blessings To Others

Bless everybody. Even yourself. Even God. As we bless, we partake of God's sovereign power to declare good to others. Even if we are offended or hurt by others, bless instead of cursing. Blessing is a very potent force sought by all in the olden times of the Old Testament. Blessing was so treasured by the Jews that Jacob even stole the blessings of his elder brother Esau which was Esau's by birthright. Cursing is the opposite of blessing and bring untold miseries and negative consequences to those who are cursed. Balak commissioned false prophet Balaam to make a curse on Israel but God made it into a blessing even making a donkey talked to Balaam to rebuke him.

Man has the potential for good or evil by the power of the spoken word and the power of imagery in his mind. He can ordain good or bad on his fellow man. God gave this power to man when He created him to be the overseer of all of God's creation but under His supreme sovereignty. This power was diminished by the fall of man at Eden but was regained by him through the death and eventual victory of Christ on the cross.

So we pray and we bless as we partake with the power of God to ordain blessings to others. Always bless because the blessings will not only be bestowed on those you blessed but on you as well. That is how God's economy works. WE PARTAKE OF THE SAME BLESSINGS OR CURSES WE BESTOW ON OTHERS. GOD BLESS US ALL.

It is sometimes hard to think and feel sorry instead of hating the people who are hurting us. I admit that I usually curse this people in my mind. I always pray to have a humble heart every moment of my life to please God. Forgive instead of hating. count my blessing everytime they put me down

Sometimes when we are very mad, we say things that we regret later on. That is why its better to just keep our mouth shut when we are too mad and just think about what we have to say when the feeling of anger subside..

Hi Tey,
If we remember who we are before God forgave us and gave us a new life free from all the stains of our sins, it will be easier for us to forgive and to bless. If we trust the Lord and walk in His ways, then the Holy Spirit will change us to be little by little like Jesus Christ. Thanks for the visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Rose,
The Lord warned us that we will be judge for every idle word we will entertain. It is better to let bygones be bygones and focus on the love of God and our response to that love. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

sometimes, all we have to do is live with the pain, hurt, turmoil...embrace it till it'll lost its power... because if you suppress it, the next time it will appear, you already know its effect & you know how to react to it... loving God is a struggle, a work in progress coz it's not simple...He loves to challenge and purify us through His will... the deeper our relationship to God, the more responsibilities He will give us^-^ and a true Christian is always up for that challenge, right?
thanks for the continued inspiration, Mel^-^

Hi Shawie,
That is a very profound message indeed. All I could say is Amen to that. Thanks for your visit and inspired comments. God bless you always.

great post Mel. the Bible says "death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they that indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it (death or life). Proverbs 18:21. i like the Message Bible's interpretation; it's much more simple: words kill, words give life; they're either poison or fruit; you choose.

i'm going to be blogging once a week from now on. thanks for your blessings and always encouraging words. continued peace & blessings to you and you family.

Hi Sylvia,
I'm glad to see you again blogging even on a weekly basis. I hope you will continue blogging on a regular basis. Yes, man has the power of blessings or curses in his hand. Let us just use the power to bless so that we can cooperate with God in His grand design to provide the best for His children. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Curse often pops into our mind first whenever we face misfortune instead of bless. Even if it doesn't come out directly from our mouth, it doesn't come across our mind sometimes.

That's why we need to develop the mental realm before the physical (before dealing with the words we spit out).
God Bless!

Hi Eel Wind,
Yes we must be very careful not to curse because it will also affect us adversely. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.
