Salvation Is By Grace Through Faith In Jesus Christ

While Jesus Christ was crucified and was dying on the cross, two thieves were crucified along with Him. One of them was saved and went with Jesus Christ into Paradise that very same day. The other was not saved but died in his sins destined for eternal damnation. Both led crooked criminal lives that merited them the supreme punishment from Roman penal law- death on the cross. What transpired that both of them differed in their final destination after their death?

This also answers the very way to salvation for all mankind. SALVATION IS BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST. Salvation can never be attained through good works alone. If this were so, the Father would not have sacrificed His only begotten Son to an excruciating and humiliating death on the cross. He could have just prescribed prescriptions for good works to attain salvation. Some observe holiness during the Holy Week then go back to their usual life after that. Some hurt their bodies through self flagellation. Others even go to the extremes of having themselves nailed to the cross. These are all insulting to the Father. All that they have to do is humble themselves before God and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior. The good works come as fruits of their being at one with Jesus Christ.

Now the other thief on the cross attained salvation by putting his faith and trust in Jesus Christ. That final act of his merited him the grace of salvation from Jesus Christ. THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO HEAVEN AND THAT IS THROUGH JESUS CHRIST.
"Jesus answered, 'I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6). "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).
