Trusting God

Will you keep on trusting God even if you are already on the verge of death and your body is wracked with pains and your prayer for divine healing is left unanswered? Will you keep on trusting God even if the one thing your heart desires which you have cried out to the Lord for so long a time have not yet been granted? Will you keep on trusting God even if you feel that He is nowhere to be found in the lowest and darkest moments of your life? Will you? As we go on to the next higher step on our ascent to God's throne of grace, we sometimes have to undergo what mystic Christians call the dark night of the soul. It is the same situation experienced by our Lord and savior Jesus Christ while He was hanging and dying on the cross. The Father turned His face away from Him and He experienced the extreme loneliness of being alone and abandoned by His Father that was why He cried out, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?" (Mark 15: 34b) This may well be the same cry uttered by all those who have experienced the dark night of the soul when they feel that God had abandoned them. But did God really abandon them? No, because He promised, "never will I leave you nor forsake you." And God is a true and faithful God and He never lies. Even if everything that is happening in our lives are contrary to God's promises, we must still hold on to them and continue to trust God, for after the apparent death of the soul comes the glorious resurrection of the glorified body. After the character God wants us to attain and the lessons God wants us to learn have been firmly established, we will experience the resurrection of our renewed self, strong and more resilient and more compassionate for the service of glorifying God in our lives. ALL WHO CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.

This post is dedicated to my blogging friends - Shiela (Bluebirdy) of Life- 4 Hours At A Time, sis Pia Go Olano of Pia's Journal and Amrita of Yesu Garden . Their continuous faith and trust in God in the midst of so many negative events in their lives serve as a dazzling light in the firmament of darkness in the world where they continue to give glory to God in the blogging world. God bless you more my dearest friends.

Addendum: Due to the comment of my good friend Bambie dear regarding a bit of crisis in her life, I am including here the video of Don Moen entitled God Will Make A Way with the reassurance to her that I will pray for the resolution of her bit of crisis. I humbly ask my dear readers to also pray for her intention. Thank you all. God bless us all.

I have been in my darkest life, I've been in these feelings where it feels like God was nowhere to find. But the only thing that kept me trhough is trusting God!

"If you can't trust his hands, trust HIS heart!"

Godbless!

Hi teJan ,
Actually, I made this post to give solace to countless Christians suffering and awaiting God's divine promise of deliverance. We can never fathom God's will. What you quoted is all so true and is a very profound saying. If you can't trust His hands, trust His heart. It's because we can't see His hands but we must trust Him that His hands is moving towards our own deliverance. Thanks for your visit and profound comments. God bless you all always.

Wow Mel, so very deep. So very few people will understand it fully except those who have been in the position that you describe, and even though you honor Pia and Amrita and I, you could not have written that unless you had experienced it yourself, and had your own faith tested, and you have obviously passed the test with your faith intact. Whatever you are praising in other struggling followers, you have in yourself. People write best about what they know, and you "know" about faith in trial. Thanks for being you and sharing your faith and encouragement.
Bless you

Hi Shiela,
We are all comrades in sufferings and trials but all of us will overcome all our trials. I feel that the children of God are undergoing fierce trials and sufferings all over the world as the enemy is making a last ditch effort to waylay those who are in the path of God's glorious plans. We are called upon to stand in the gap between heaven and earth so that the mighty angels of God can summon all the spiritual strength and power for the final victory of God's mighty angelic host. But in the meantime we have to endure the suffering of the dark night of the soul. Thanks for your visit and inspiring comments. God bless you all always.

thank you bro. i agree with sheila. you couldn't have written this if you didn't understand the waiting , the suffering, the "abandonment" yourself. i believe that God knows and He sees. He is just waiting for His perfect time to come to make our requests, our petitions come to pass. we are victorious in Christ.

thank you for this, bro.

Hi sis Pia,
Yes, we are all comrades in suffering as I said to Shiela. We must be faithful to God no matter what the situation maybe. The inspiration came from your and Shiela's plights. I hope and pray that you will get your heart's desire in God's time. Thanks for your visit and inspiring comments. God bless you always.

I feel bad when I questions him in my head when things happen against on what I have expected to happen. Then it makes cry that after sometime, I will realized why it didn't happen at the time I am expecting it to happen. God is always there to give us something at the right time. We just have to put our trust in him

Hi Bambie dear,
I'm sorry to hear that you are in a bit of crisis right now. Whatever it is, I will pray for you and your loved ones. If you want to entrust your problem to me, you can email me at melalarilla@gmail.com so that I can specifically target my prayers to your particular problem. Just remember the song, "God will make a way, where there seems to be no way. He works in ways we cannot see, He will make a way for me." Our God is bigger than all the problems in the world and He is so glad when we cast our anxieties to Him because He cares for all of us. Nothing is impossible with God to those who truly believe in Him. I will pray for you my friend. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

Hi Dhemz,
Na miss kita nang husto. Ang tagal mo ring nawala. I hope naka recover na kayo sa long trip nyo from the Phils at wala na kayong jet lag. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

ganun ba..akala ko hindi sa google..ako din ang mga pic na nasa blog ko ang iba ay sa google ko lang din kinuha..

Mel Avila Alarilla said...

Hi Arvin,
