Baptism Of The Holy Spirit

BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
The most important event that could happen to a Christian is the baptism of the Holy Spirit. This is the time when the Holy Spirit descends from heaven and enlivens the long dead spirit of man. This normally occurs immediately after a person accepts Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior and become born again. Or a Christian can attend a life in the Spirit seminar and at the conclusion of the seminar, the presiding pastor or priest lay his hand on each participant who then receives the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. This is different from the water baptism whereby a Christian is immersed in water to symbolize his death to this world (and all things worldly) and a new life in Jesus Christ. The original baptism of the Holy Spirit was during the Pentecost wherein the Holy Spirit came down upon the disciples of Jesus Christ and where all of them immediately spoke in tongues. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is characterized by the outpouring of His gifts to the newly baptized Christian for the edification of the church. The onrushing of the powers of the Holy Spirit is characterized by an indescribable feeling wherein people would simultaneously laugh or cry and feel elation and bliss all over. Their eyes are opened to the realities of heaven and God's kingdom. They receive wisdom in understanding the words of God in the Bible as though these words are alive with new found meanings and they leap straight out of the Bible into their hearts and minds. Their hearts sing in joyous expectations and in the knowledge of the reality of God in their hearts. They readily fellowship with other Christians as they feel their oneness with the whole body of Christ as they sing in one voice in joyous worship and praises of the Lord.

hi brother mel-- i have an aunt who is a born again christian (living word ministries). every time there are family occasions, she would usually invite some pastors and friends over.. one thing i had noticed is that they would really go out of their way to be able to share the good news and let us go into prayer with them. i am catholic but i don't mind listening to the talks because i believe religion should not be a hindrance to hear God's words. just this lately, my aunt has been diagnosed with cervical cancer but this did not stop her from doing her ministry. please help us pray for her.

Alam mo Meretrisha what they are doing is not converting you to their beliefs. What they are after is soul winning for the Lord Jesus Christ. Yun kasi ang misconception nang marami na ang born again Christian is always aiming to convert people away from their religion. That is farthest from the truth. In fact, you can still be a Catholic and be a born again Christian by attending a Life in The Spirit Seminar in your own parish and receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit at the conclusion of the seminar. What is important is that you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior and surrender your life to Him. That is the key to entering God's kingdom. It is harder for a Catholic to learn deeper the Christian truths kasi hindi ganun kasipag magturo ang mga pari. Pati ang pag read nila nang word of God ay masyadong superficial lamang at walang masyadong impact at power sa listeners unlike what Christian pastors do where the word of God is the central point of the fellowship service. Christians are enjoined to study and meditate the Bible and attend home Bible studies that is why they grow and mature in their faith. Sabi sa Bible, by the fruit you will know the tree. We are enjoined by the Lord to be the light of the world and the salt of the earth but how can we become like this if we are ignorant of Biblical truths? Yes, I will pray for your auntie. Could you just give me the name of your auntie so that my prayer will be specific? We rebuke the spirit of cervical cancer in her and we release to her the Spirit of divine healing. By the stripes of Jesus she is healed. This we pray in Jesus name. Amen. Thanks for your visit and honest comments. I appreciate that. God bless you all always.

Hi Krystyna,
Water baptism is different from baptism of the Holy Spirit. This event occurs upon acceptance of Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior wherein the Holy Spirit enlivens the dead spirit of a person. The occasion is characterized by the outpouring of power and gifts from the Holy Spirit. Thanks for your visit and comments and for praying for the aunt of Meretrisha. I appreciate that. God bless you all always.
