We are mere pilgrims, transients in this decadent and temporary world. This is not our final destination. Likening it to a trip, the earth is just a temporary stop over to our final destination which is eternity. Whatever we do here will determine whether we will enjoy eternal life with the Lord or eternal death and separation from Him. Man acts as though this world is his final destiny. He works himself to death, laying up treasures and securities for himself and his loved ones but has pitifully neglected laying up treasures in heaven. He may be filthy rich here on earth but a spiritual mendicant in the afterlife. Jesus asked His hearers what would a man exchange for his soul? And what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world yet suffer the loss of his soul? We should not only prepare our children for their future. We should prepare them for eternity.

Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Yes indeed, we don't store up treasures here where they can just fade and be destroyed because life here on earth is not really our home, but in heaven.
The one who labors for God and not for his own, is the one who can enjoy the riches of heaven.

Hi Tey,
How right you are since the Bible says, "love of money is the root of all evils." Money in itself is not evil, there are so many good things we can do with money but the inordinate love of money ushers us to the trapdoors of hell. I hope and pray that you are okay now with your marital problems. I am still praying for you my friend. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

Hi Bingkee,
Amen to that my friend. You have found the narrow gate lading to heaven. Others persist in entering the wide gate to perdition. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Just by reading your replies to commenters, ang dami ko na din natututunan.. You're so true with regards to Money, sabi nga nila, ugat ng kasamaan. Living in today's generation, we need money to survive. Kahit papaano ay nakakapagbigay din ito ng ibang form of happiness.. we always thank God for the many blessings in our life, and one of these blessings is the financial part..

Anyway, thanks po as always..

Hi Bambie dear,
Money in itself is never evil but the inordinate love of money is. We strive for money for what good it can do to us and to others. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

Money is powerful , it empowers to do almost anything. It does help and make it easy for our life desire to come to life. Isn't it? It does give us happiness.

Thanks for this post Kuya. God Bless!

Hi Charmie,
Actually the Bible says that the love of money is the root of all evils. So it is the love of money and not money itself that is evil. Money can do so many good things for us and for others. It is when we are so consumed with money that it begins to enslave us and we begin to do evil things just to acquire and accumulate money. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.
