The Problem Of Pain

 THE PROBLEM OF PAIN
There will always be pain in our bodies, pain in our hearts, pain in our minds. In fact, pain is an integral part of our lives. It is how we react to pain that determines our standing with the Lord. If we blame Him for all the pains that we go through, then we miss the whole point. Pain is the instrument of God to make us closer to Him. If we cannot endure the temporary pain that we are experiencing right now, think of how much we can endure the pain of losing God and heaven for all eternity. Or think of how much we can endure the scorching flames of hell that will sear our very souls forevermore. Think about that! "Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life." (Matthew 25: 46).

But God is so good and merciful. He will not give us any pain, any trial, nor any sorrow that we cannot overcome. Because together with the pain, trial or sorrow, He will give us His amazing grace (a tremendous spiritual force of comfort and deliverance) to overcome all these. As we emerge triumphant over the pains, trials or sorrows, then we become stronger, more patient and more compassionate towards those who are undergoing similar experiences in life. As we have been comforted by the Holy Spirit, so shall we become conduits of God's graces and blessings to those who are in distress. NOW YOU UNDERSTAND WHY YOU HAVE TO ENDURE YOUR PAIN. CHEER UP! THERE IS ALWAYS LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL. SMILE. GOD LOVES YOU NO MATTER WHAT!

"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." (2 Corinthians 12: 9a)

Yes, pain of any kind is an integral part of us human beings and the good thing is, there's God who gives us grace in the midst of the pains that we encounter in our life's journey. Thanks for the post, have a great weekend. God bless you and your family Sir Mel.

once i said, i am not afraid to die, it's the pain i am really afraid of.

seeing my father die of cancer, i couldn't get over the pain i saw in his eyes, and during that time i was praying to the LORD to 'please take the pain away.'

i have always done that since then. be it pain, or sadness or anxiety.. i pray to GOD to help me make through it..

Wow, natamaan ako nito Sir mel. I don't blame God for all the pain but sometimes if hindi ko na talaga kaya I questioned him of what i have done to deserved this pain.
I know God will not give us any pain, any trial, nor any sorrow that we cannot overcome but we are only human that is why some people who can't handle thr trial will result to suicide. I hope God forgive me if I am so irrational and makitidand for questioning him. Thanks for the post Sir Mel.

Hi Kimmy,
That was also my attitude before. First time that I experienced pain I thought I would rather die. But having recurrent pain all through these years made me inured to pain. I always trust God that He would not give me pain that I could not endure. He allows the pain in us for His own sovereign purpose. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Shy,
God never causes us any pain although He sometimes allow it for His own sovereign purpose. Some pains are caused by consequences of sins and this is called chastisement from the Lord so that we will turn away from sin and return to Him. But some pains are meant to show His glory in the lives of His children. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.

Hi Sam,
Yes, all of us suffer pain one time or another. It is how we react to pain that distinguishes us from others of less faith. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

Hi Imriz,
Yes, if pain is caused by sin, God chastise us so that we will not be lost to Him. But there are pains that are not caused by sin and uses them to further His own glory on earth. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.
