When The Lord Comes, Will He Find Us Faithful?

We may be in the dark, so cold and lonely, unable to see any light in our darkened existence. We may be already at the edge of a precipitous cliff ready to jump into the deep chasm of nothingness. We started out so well in our lives. We were nurtured in the best values, the best education, the best love and care that our parents could muster for us. Where did we go wrong?

It all started when we chose the wrong path for our lives. It all started when we asserted our own independence from God. So we lived by the principles of this world. So we lived by the norm of "dog eats dog." And in the process, somehow we changed. We lost all the principles and values that were ingrained in our hearts and minds by the molders of our soul. We knew that there was a God but He seemed so far away and somehow, we found it harder and harder to relate to Him. And so we wallowed more and more in our worldly existence, drowning ourselves in the inebriating wine of wanton living. But all of these things have left us with emptiness in our hearts. We felt the gnawing pain of loneliness and the virtual isolation of our soul. Somehow our soul yearns for a different existence, one that exudes true joy and peace in our hearts.

It is never too late to turn our backs to worldly living and to retrace our steps back to the pathway to God's kingdom. All it takes is to humble ourselves before the Lord, repent our sins, and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Then His most precious blood will wash immaculately clean all the stains of sins and guilt in our hearts as we become born again in Spirit and truth.

It is never too late. WHEN THE LORD COMES, WILL HE FIND US FAITHFUL?

You're so right Sir Mel.. Medyo guilty rin ako dito coz eversince I moved here, nag-iba ang outlook ko, dami din kasi temptations such as nice gadgets and everything. Dati di naman ako mahilig sa ganyan.. good thing now that Im a mom na, medyo bumabalik na ko sa pagka-simple and slowly, naiimprove na ang spiritual life ko. Thanks to you :) Thanks for this post.

Every time I get out of the house in the morning, I always ask myself if I will be able to come back there at the end of the day. And since nobody knows the answer to that question, the least I can do is to assume that this day may be the last. So I take time to thank the Lord for all his blessings, to ask for forgiveness for all the wrong things I do, to ask for his protection not just for me but for my entire family, and to ask for his help to make me a better person than I was yesterday. I wish with all my heart that the Lord will find me faithful when he comes for me..

Hi Bambie dear,
Nothing wrong with enjoying life's little pleasures like those gadgets. It is just a matter of perspective. We should never lose our focus on God for if we do, we may be drowned by life's allures which may lead us to compromise our principles and spirituality. We must learn to distinguish things that may lead us to sin. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

Hi Kimmy.
I was overwhelmed by your comment. I hope all people will be like you who dedicate each day to the Lord. When the Lord comes for us all, He will definitely find you faithful. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Arvin,
Yes, you are right. We must tread the right path to God's kingdom and not the path to destruction. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi, Bro. MEL, since I was a child, I grew up in a christian family. When my dad went to Saudi Arabia, He spent around 20yrs as a Ticketing Manager. He was called by the LORD, he became a faithful christian, and a Pastor. I'm a typical christian, who grew up in sunday' school. When my dad went back here in the Philippines, he started preaching the word of GOD... I wasn't that supportive. When he passed a way, 2 years ago, we realized his importance, and all of the word of GOD he shared with us. And now, I am stuck in my job.. All I could do now is to pray, and ask the LORD, that someday, I would be able to be back in the church. I want to be a faithful christian again, just like before. It is my dream to serve Our Dearest JESUS, but, with all of the hindrances, I find it very difficult... Please, include me in your prayer. God bless!

Very inspirational Mel. Thanks for sharing.

In my life, I had a number of realizations. The best of which is, happiness is found in the home, when everyone is aiming to serve the Lord. It ain't matter on how well-to-do your family is. It is the FAITH that God is looking at.

Hi isp 101,
Sure I will pray for you. Serving the Lord does not always mean working in a church ministry. You are now perfectly in the place the Lord wants you to be. And that is your ministry. You can be a light of the world and a salt of the earth in the very place you are working. Just be a credible ambassador of Christ in your place of work. Remember you are being judged by the name you carry so be very careful in what you do, always remembering that you do everything for the glory of God. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Minnie Runner,
We serve the Lord best when we do His will in our lives. That way we become a credible witness for the Lord. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

Hi isp101,
TO GOD BE THE GLORY. You're welcome. We serve the Lord in any capacity if we do everything to please Him and give Him glory. Friends list means link. I will consider it later on since I am fully loaded now with tons of emails I received and comments I have to reciprocate. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.
