Are You Moody?

Are you moody? If you are, you must do something about it. The hardest person to deal with is a moody person, especially one who has violent mood swings. It is hard to be with a person who is happy one minute and in the next moment would be as grumpy as a mean bear roused from its slumber. Bad moods are triggered by hormonal imbalances in one's body, especially with women. Or it can be an accumulation of stresses that continue to build up in one's system. Whatever the cause is, it can be remedied before we lose all our friends and even our loved ones.

Here are some tips to overcome bad moods:

1. Understand the language of your body. If you are a woman, you may be having a severe PMS or premenstrual syndrome. Avoid people contact during this period and explain to people why you are in such a mood. You can seek professional help from a reputable gynecologist.

2. Think happy thoughts. Listen to your favorite music. Indulge in your favorite pastime or hobby .

3. Take a nature trip or see the blockbuster movie at the theater with your beloved. Not only will you correct your bad mood, you will also have an intimate bonding with your beloved.

4. Play with your kids. When was the last time you did that? Did it not leave you happy and refreshed?

5. And most importantly, meditate on the word of God and focus on God's unfathomable love for you. His goodness and peace will rub on you. Remain in God's peace always and kick that bad mood away. Anybody?

I was moody during my teens. But as I got older, I started to hate the feeling of being 'not in the mood.' for one, it's too 'heavy in the chest' and second, it pushes away even the closest people around me. Now that I am much older, though I have some mood swings, I already learned to control my moods, but at times when I couldn't, I would try to stay away for a few minutes and pray hard and ask the Lord to hold my heart and give it peace.. it never fail to calm me down..

Hi Kimmy,
I tend to avoid people with violent mood swings. It's great that my wife does not have any and is the most pleasant person I have ever met in life. I later on learned in my blogging activities that people with violent mood swings have bipolar disorder characterized with manic depressive tendencies. One moment they are high up there in the clouds and the next moment they are down there in the dumps. Some even contemplate suicide when depressed. Great that you were able to control your emotions and have even asked God to help you. God will always give you peace in the most troubled times. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Umma,
Having an erratic mood swing during PMS is quite normal. What is troublesome is when a person has violent mood swing even on dry days. That is dangerous for it may lead to bipolar disorder characterized by manic depressive symptoms that may even lead to self infliction or even suicide. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

There are times i would say that i am moody but not the violent one heheh. I think I a just too transparent of what I feel minsan hindi mapipigilan. kaya siguro mahaba adjustment ko sa asawa ko kasi may pagka moody din ito, at wala sa amin sumusuko which is really bad in marriage.
