My second eldest son- Rommel and her girlfriend- Cherryvelle
My second eldest son is working at a call center in Quezon City. Last Thursday night he bade goodbye to work. He did not return home for three days and has not responded to my text messages to him. I almost did not sleep those past three nights imagining the worst scenarios that could possibly happen to him. My fear was that he became a victim of a hold up which was so common among call center agents going home at ungodly hours. My fears were heightened when her girl friend texted me asking if he has already left for work. When I told her that he did not return home for three days, she too became agitated. I could only turn to God for relief and comfort. I realized how helpless and vulnerable I was when faced with the uncertainties of life. Last night he came home and could not explain well enough why he was absent for three days and where he slept during those days. I was just so relieved to badger him with the details. THANKS GOD THAT NOTHING UNTOWARD HAPPENED TO HIM. TO GOD BE THE GLORY.
This is the product of my fertile thoughts. I am recreating them here and am sharing them with you, dear bloggers, for whatever benefits, if any, you could derive from them. I wish you could be more open and share with me your comments and suggestions so that I can improve on my blog. Thank you, God bless and have a nice day. Mel Avila Alarilla

At least you are relieved now and your son went home safely. But I guess you should ask him (not nag) Kuya the real score of his truancy hence why he wasn't able to notify you with his 3 days absence.
But as what you've said, nothing adverse took place and he went home safely, that's all it matters.
that's quite a relief, sir mel, being a parent myself, I can imagine the agony of not knowing your child's whereabouts. just savor the delight of having him safe, the admonition will wait, hehe.. God bless..
Hi Umma,
My two eldest sons are so highly independent. They don't want others to intrude into their personal lives. When my second eldest said basta, then that's it. I just pray for all my children. This second eldest of mine is a backslider and does not submit to me so I don't badger with details about his personal life. Both of them have jobs of their own and do not contribute a single centavo to the family expenses. I just surrender them to the Lord since I cannot discipline them anymore. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.
Hi Kimmy,
The problem is, my second eldest son is a backslider and does not submit to me. When he answered basta, then that's it. No explanation given nor asked. I could only pray to God for His divine intervention. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.
oh my! good thing he's back home and safe....maloloka siguro ako kung ganon...dito pag lampas na nang 24hours pede na report sa 911 for missing...weeee...very independent pala tong mga lalaki mo kuya...thanks for sharing! gwapo nang binata mo...bagay sila nang gf nya...ehehehe!

Hi Dhemz,
Iba na ang sibul nang mga kabataan ngayon, very highly independent. Ayaw nilang pakikialaman. Hindi nila alam kung gaano nagaalala ang magulang nila. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.
Oh, that would have been a relief seeing your son after three days. God Bless you and your family Mel.
Hi MinnieRunner,
Yes, that was a relief after two sleepless nights. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.
Hi teJan,
I was not able to sleep on the last two nights that he did not come home. Since he was not answering my text messages to him, I was doubly troubled and overwhelmed. Glad that he is home now. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.
Hi Pinaydiary,
I didn't want to alarm my folks so I was waiting until Monday before I would begin my search starting with my eldest who used to work in that same call center. Great that my second eldest came home and that settled everything. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.
Relieved to hear about the news Sir mel. The important thing now is he is home safe and whole. Hope he can explain to you what happened and he was. I really admired your patience and the way you handle thing Sir mel. You really know that there is only one God you can turn to when uncertainties in life. You take sir mel, btw, gwapo pala anak mo Sir mel hehehe Thanks for the post
Hi Shy,
Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.
buti na lang safe siya..pinag alala ka masyado..
