Exercise Your Way To Health

The lifestyle of the now generation is fraught with so much danger and peril. The sedentary lifestyle of most people are such that there are no more room for balanced exercises. Thus, they eat a lot, sit and relax most of the time in front of the computer, TV, video game machine, DVD, or their ipod or MP4 players. Thus, they consume so much food but let them stay in their bodies and they become so lethargic and dull due to lack of exercise. And to compensate for their feeling of heaviness and lethargy, they drink a lot of energy drinks or even indulge in mind awakening drugs such as shabu, cocaine or marijuana.

Have we ever wondered why there are so many obese people especially in rich and developed nations? It is because they have so much of everything, and as everything in nature, excess of anything can kill. The remedy to this is the old fashioned style of exercising to relax our body and to replenish the stale air in our lungs. But most people are averse to exercising outdoors. They have their usual litanies of excuses.

If you cannot or do not want to go outside, then you can exercise inside. You can do stationary jogging for one hour. Or you can sweat it out in your own room by dancing your way to your favorite disco music. Be sure to close all the windows and shut off the air conditioner and voila, you have your own sauna room where you can exercise and sweat off your excess poundage. It is not only good for the heart and lungs but good for the bones too. Our bones absorb the calcium that we take in through exercise.

So you want a healthy body? Exercise your way to a better health and a younger, more self confident you.

Hi Kimmy,
With your heavy load of work at school and your load of house chores, I think you are exercising enough. What is important is that you are healthy and not sickly. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Great post to encourage a healthy lifestyle. I was never athletic but got hooked playing badminton when it was the "in" sport here, enough to join a gym and work out to improve my badminton game. I stuck with it till now and I'm in a better shape in my 40s than I was in my 20s.

Hi The Twerp and I,
Yes, indulging in your favorite sport is an enjoyable way to exercise. It's hard to maintain discipline and regularly exercise if the process is tedious and burdensome. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless.

Hi Arvin,
How right you are. Many sicknesses will literally go away if we just keep a regular dose of strenuous exercise everyday. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Dhemz,
Hindi ka naman mataba ah. Just right lang. Meron talagang tabain at meron namang slim. Dahil kasi yun sa individual metabolism natin. Nakakainggit talaga yung mga taong malakas kumain pero hindi tumataba, hehehe. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

Hi teJan,
As long as we're active that will be fine. Doing household chores is already a form of exercise. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

So many things to do, so little the time. But I am glad I am still able to play badminton once a week, no excuses.
As they say, its better prevention than cure.
Sir Mel, thank you po sa prayer niyo for my Lola. God bless you more po.
