Peace (Is It Already Extinct?)

Why is peace as elusive as the Loch Ness Monster or the Abominable Snowman? There's so much war, strifes and hatred in this world. Man is intolerant of his fellowmen. We only have one planet where we can all live in peace and harmony. If we don't figure out how we can all coexist peacefully, chances are, we are going to annihilate ourselves and our beloved planet as well.

Peace must begin with the very basic unit of society, man himself. Man must first learn to be at peace with himself before he can even seek peace with others and with the world. A man at conflict with himself can never expect to be at peace with his fellowmen. He will always see conflict in others as a reflection of his own condition of being.

But how can we be at peace with ourselves? We start to have an internal conflict in ourselves when we develop a warped conscience, when our innate sense of right and wrong runs conflict with our actual actuations in life.

Religious beliefs and philosophies in life may vary from person to person, but if he is not at peace with his Creator, he will never have genuine peace with himself. Man's open response to the overflowing love of his Creator for him will result in the welling up of love, joy and peace in his heart, and this will positively manifest in love and relationship with himself, his fellowmen and his Creator.

Let's clean ourselves before we even attempt to see the dirt of others and meddle in their own affairs. If we want to see the unfolding of genuine peace in the world, let us begin with ourselves first.

very timely post mel. i so agree that before we can have peace with others, we must first have peace within ourselves. people are so busy going and doing that they don't take time to just sit and think and relax and reflect. i think if people slowed down a bit, they'd find a little peace. of course, for christians, the Bible tells us God gives us peace, not like the world's peace, but the peace that passes all understanding. we all need to have this kind of peace, and it'll take us through whatever comes our way. excellent post once again mel.

Lovely post Mel.
I've had a very hectic week. My youngest and friends moved into my house for a week. They have now moved into their new place. I brought the dogs their toys this morning on my motorcycle. A nice quick ride on a nice windy day.
I hope your feeling better.

Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful." (John 14:27).

i'm sure you know this very well... Peace is lost in the world without Christ. People worry, wait, doubt, and long for things they covet. They want. They need. They demand. They must have just one more thing, or one more fulfilled desire. Without direction from God, they ingrain in themselves false needs and hopes which are out of the will of God and then complain to God and doubt Him when their self-centered prayers go unanswered. The result is a lack of peace. So, to solve this problem people often try to create a false peace with alcohol, drugs, sex, or other addictions. Sometimes they deny their sin and push away the conviction of the Holy Spirit. They no longer feel the touch of God's correcting movement in their hearts. They are left to their own ways.Peace is rest in the heart. Though life may be hard, though our bodies be frail, though pain is our companion, to be in the will of God is to abide in the peace of God.
i belived that if you belived in HIM and TRUST your life to Him.. thats the greatest PEACE we could have.

So happy that you're back!

Hi Carol aka Beachgirl,
I'm fine. I just went through a very trying trial which all Christians undergo from time to time. I have just gone through your artistic website and I was impressed by your photographic works. They're so wonderful and very refreshing. Don't worry. There will come a time when people will notice and appreciate your works of arts. Just be more patient and just trust the Lord. He has given you the gift, He will see it through to its fruition. Thanks for your visit. Smile. God bless and have a nice and artistic day.

Hey, hey, hey, is that really you Miss Kurdapya? Could you pinch my cheeks, I must be dreaming. Oh my God, you just wrote something under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. You hit it right by the nail. Only God can give us genuine peace. All the rest are just panacea or imitation peace. After sometime, it evaporates and we're back to the same old grumpy selves that we are. You amaze me my dear friend. You always have it in you. You just got a little lost in the concrete jungle of worldly existence. God bless you my friend with His divine wisdom and discernment to distinguish the mundane from the heavenly. Smile always. I am here again to cheer you up when you're feeling down. God bless and have a nice and fulfilling day.

Heyya Mel,

Sorry to hear that you have some problems and thank God that you finally managed it...Sometimes, we are tested by God for some reasons, as only HE knows better.

Yeah, you've been missed too..as I didn't see you in the WUB neither do my blog..hope you are better now yea!

Mel,it's pretty the same: before we fall in love, firstly, we have to love own self rite? And so does with peace be it in this world..or within our own self...the soul, clean and purity no hatred or jealousy...whatever we do actually is our own reflection!!

Wanted: search for this man photographed sexually abusing children
INTERPOL is seeking the help of the public to try to identify this man, photographed sexually abusing children in a series of images posted on the Internet.
The photos shown here are from a series of around 200 pictures involving 12 different young boys, believed to have been taken in Vietnam and Cambodia in 2002 or 2003.
These pictures have been produced by specialists from Germany’s federal police force, the Bundeskriminalamt, working from originals found on the Internet, which had been digitally altered to disguise the man’s face.
Extensive police efforts worldwide to identify the man have so far failed and Interpol is now enlisting the support of the media and the public to help identify him as a priority.
Anyone with information on his identity or whereabouts should contact their local police or INTERPOL’s Trafficking in Human Beings Unit via email.

Hi Noushy,
I missed you too. You have always lifted me up whenever I am down. Thanks for being such a valuable friend. I hope people will look first on their own selves and clean their own garbage before looking at the dirt of others. That way, maybe peace can be achieved in this troubled world of ours. Thanks for your usual visit. I hope you have a peaceful and satisfying life and lovelife. Smile. Have a nice and love filled day.
