The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter

The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter
a poem by Mel Avila Alarilla

The heart is a lonely hunter
It seeks the places of previous
love, joy, reminiscings.
It yearns for a love that has been lost.

There in the periphery of time and space-
a love that has been sought was veiled
for the eyes to see.

How lonely is the world without one's love.
Looking at the empty walls,
only tears are the companion of one's soul.

As life begins to slowly ebb from this frail body,
I yearn to see once more the love I have long
sought for.
Wherever she may be, I hope she will realize
just how much I miss her.

My heart cries out in pain, the throbbing sobs
of the hurts embedded deep in my soul.
As the melody wafts in the inner chamber
of my mind,
I recall the wonderful days of years gone by
when we were together.

Now that I am on death throes
how I long to see your face once more,
To gaze at your winsome smile, To be reassured again and again,
that you love me.

Ah, that would be enough to calm the storm
raging in my soul.
As the cold misty air of the twilight time
descends on my empty body,
Let me hear once more your angelic voice
saying for the last time that you love me.
Again and again. Until the end.
Until the very..............end.

OMG, what a lovely, but very sad words.
Mel, your soul is so lonely.
If I understand correctly, you are the author of this beautiful poem?
I didin't know you are a poet.

The more we know about the meaning of life, the better we understand the importance of Love.

Much respect and love to you and your family!
God bless you and God bless your lovely wife.

Hi Krystyna,
Yes, I do not know but the more I feel pain in my body, the more I miss my wife who is working in the US. The anguish in my soul is so deep that it cries out in agonizing pain. I have to let out the cries of my soul and pray to the Lord that He will not take me before I see her again. Thanks for your visit and inspiring comments. God bless you always.

Hi Mel again!

Today /or tomorrow/ I'm going to public new post "Never Lose Hope".
I strongly recommend you this my post, especially watch this video.
I STRONGLY RECOMMEND you the book from my post. If you have any problem to buy this book, please, tell me, I'll send it to you.

I was very sick, disabled from my childhood. I know what is serious illness too.
Doc. told me - no job/any kind/, etc, etc...,

Now I feel very good, I'm working, sometimes hard working.
Honestly...I help myself.
And I STRONGLY believe
you can do this too.

God bless you!

Hi Krystyna,
That's mighty kind of you. Anyway, I never lose hope. It's probably the weight of the burdens on my shoulder. Starting today up to Sunday, my church has ordained a nationwide fast, prayer and spiritual feasting for all its members nationwide and worldwide. This is an opportune time for me to really climb the mountain and have an audience with the Lord. I thought of having a seven days sabbatical but I decided otherwise. I will still have limited blogging activities during those seven days. I really appreciate your concern for me but all Christians undergo this kind of situation. We come out of it spiritually better and more equipped to better serve the Lord and our respective ministries. Regarding the book, I really can't afford it at this point in time and we are scheduled to transfer again to a new residence in about a couple of months time by the grace of God. I will just give you our new address after we have already transferred. Thank you so much for your Christian kindness. I really appreciate that. God bless you always my dear friend.

Hi sis Pia,
Yes, my heart is lonely and in anguish for my wife who is still in the US but we have to sacrifice for the welfare of our kids. I just have to vent the deep hurt in my soul and pray to God that He should also reunite our family in His own time. Thanks for your visit and comforting words. God bless you always my dear sister and friend.

Hi Mel Avila Alarilla,

Although physically separated in distance, but unite in love. This is more better than unite physically but there is a gap between.

very profound feelings, nice words, you're such a poet...it doesn't say much and I wouldn't ask, hehehe... that's what poem is all about anyway, the art of expressing one's feeling in a very subtle way:) God Bless!

Mel Avila Alarilla said...

Hi Tikno,
Yes, I agree with you. But separation in time and space can also tear at the core of one's soul. It is just venting and finding expressions to one's feelings. Thanks for your visit. God bless.

Hi Anonymous,
Sure I will go to your blog with the url you gave me. I will also give my opinion on what you posted. Thanks for your visit. God bless.

Mel Avila Alarilla said...

Hi Shawie,
It is more of an emotional poem with feelings and emotions overflowing from my heart and soul rather than a rational poem with lots of subterfuge. It is what you see in it. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Sameera,
You are right. She has been in the US for almost 3 years now and we miss her terribly especially when I feel the onset of death in my body. I don't want to die without seeing her again. Thank you for your visit and very perceptive comments. God bless you always my dear friend.
