Total Surrender

TOTAL SURRENDER
Do you want your life to be in step with God's will in your life? Do you want to walk in the way of the Lord in your life? Then surrender yourself totally to the Lord. Surrender everything you have to the Lord- your life, your ways, your mind, your possessions, your loved ones, everything you have to the Lord. Then you will stand totally dispossessed in front of God and will not care because you know that God will provide for all your needs. It is not that we will just stand idle and wait for manna to come down from heaven. It is that we totally dissociate ourselves with everything that is worldly and do everything to please God and glorify His name. Jesus always prayed to ascertain the will of His Father and acted accordingly to that will. That was why He could safely say that He and His Father are one because He works in perfect step to the will of His Father. It is really hard to live in this world but not of this world. But so long as we keep on associating with things worldly, so long will we be pulled back to the orbit of the earth's worldliness. We enjoy the things of this world to the detriment of the development of our soul to be in step with God's purpose for our lives. We develop cravings and desires which nurture discontent in our lives. We compare ourselves with others and begin to covet what others have which we do not have. Soon a spirit of bitterness and covetousness develops in our hearts. To counteract this, we must be willing to surrender everything we got at the foot of the cross and have them nailed to the cross with our Lord Jesus Christ. Then we are born again to the transcendent world of pure joy and ecstasy in our hearts, knowing fully well that we will enjoy eternal life with our God.

Thank you for this enlighting post, as always Sir Mel. It's always nice to be here. especially on weekends kasi nakakapag concentrate ako magbasa. I'm kinda guilty of being discontented over something paminsan, minsan kasi nakakalimutan ko maging simple lang dahil sa mga nakikita ko dito sa paligid. But thank God dahil He sends something or someone to remind me na hindi naman importante ang mga bagay na gusto ko makuha.. This post reminded me na makakamit mo lang ang contentment if you have God in you. Thanks Sir. Have a nice weekend po =)

Hi Dhemz,
Lilipat na pala kayo sa ibang state. Balitaan mo na lang kami. Pero paano yung pagaaral mo? Ta transfer ka ba sa ibang eskwelahan? Tapusin mo yung pagaaral mo maski na anong mangyari kasi life long dream mo iyan. Okay lang iyon, naiintindihan naman kita. Sana mas maganda yung lugar na lilipatan ninyo at sana accessible pa rin yun sa mga kamaganak nang mister mo at family friends ninyo para me aayuda sa inyo sa mga emergencies. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

Hi Bambie dear,
Huwag mo lang kakalimutan yung sinabi ni Jesus na, "Seek you first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you" (Matthew 6:33). Alam naman nang Diyos ang lahat nang pangangailangan natin at Kanyang ibibigay ang mga iyon sa takdang panahon. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

hi brother mel.. indeed, the Lord knows all our needs. we have proven that many times in our lives. this is why we always cling to HIM in both the happy and sad times of our lives.
btw, i am sorry, i missed blog hopping and writing for a while. i had to rest due to some minor health issues and other important reasons but i'll try to read all your previous posts as well.

Hi Meretrisha,
You don't have to apologize. I understand it. I will pray for whatever health problem you have which I hope I can find out when I visit your blog. I am so happy with your very positive attitude towards God. In whatever circumstances we find ourselves, we should never stop praising Him for all the blessing we received in the past. All trials are just transitory. They'll just pass away after their purpose have been served. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

I take it this way; I give up pride, selfishness, and vain ambitions, and surrender so I can be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Let Him have His way on my life for this life is not mine.

Hi Bingkee,
Amen to that. Our lives are surrendered to the Lord to do as He pleases. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.
