Black Day For The Philippines

Sally Ordinario-Villanueva, one of convicted drug mule executed in China

This a black day for the Philippines as three Pinoys accused and convicted of being drug couriers to China were executed by the Chinese authorities despite the pleadings and prayers of the entire Filipino nation and its citizens worldwide. No amount of pleadings from the Philippine government led by Pres. Noynoy Aquino and Vice Pres. Jejomar Binay moved the intractable Chinese authorities. They have such a hypocritical view of the incidents. While their Chinese nationals made life miserable for millions of Filipinos by operating clandestine shabu laboratories in almost all parts of the Philippines; while Chinese were the operators of most drug syndicates in the country and while they ravaged the economy of the Philippines by their unabated smuggling of almost everything to the Philippines to the detriment of our local industries and while their fishermen fish with impunity in Philippine waters catching even endangered species, they mouth about the sufferings of Chinese nationals brought about by the minuscule drugs brought by our impoverished drug couriers lured to the trade by extreme poverty. China is so arrogant and they tolerate toxic laden products from China like milk, toys, etc. and counterfeit products of all kinds to be exported to the world especially to impoverished countries like the Philippines. Sure they suffered indignities and persecution from the Western powers before but why browbeat small countries like the Philippines like a big bad bully pummeling a small terrified boy unable to fight back because of its small size. We should incarcerate all Chinese nationals caught violating our sovereign laws and must never succumb to the pressures of the Chinese government to just deport them. BIG BULLY CHINA. SHAME ON YOU!

It's irritating to know how these chinese people underestimating the filipinos.

Let's just pray for those poor filipino who are victims of their own ignorant at siguro sa kahirapan kaya pumasok sa negosyong bawal. What can we do, hindi rin naman nakikinig mga intsik, Thanks for the post and indo Sir Mel

Hi Shy,
We both feel the same strong sentiments against what the government of China did to these three convicted Pinoys. It would not have been too much to have commuted their sentences to life imprisonment. But no, they proceeded with their arrogant execution amidst the cries and pleadings of millions of Pinoys all over the world. It is a slap in the face of the Philippines and all Pinoys. China is one of the remaining countries, mostly Arabs and totalitarian countries, still practicing the death penalty. Let our voices be heard as one in condemning this barbaric act of the Chinese government against our poor kababayans who died because of extreme poverty and the callousness of an insensitive government. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

If those people convicted were white, the death penalty will never be on the table. But since Philippines is being viewed as 3rd world country where poverty is flagrant, China just care less and moved on in imposing their law against drugs. Notwithstanding the appeals of millions of kababayans even the president.

In theory, the tyrant Chinese will continue to browbeat those countries specifically the Phils to prove the world who rules the Asian territories at present.

That's one of the reasons I detest China.. I try to keep my hands off any of their products long time ago (read: I don't patronize Made in China products)here in US.

Hi Calleigh,
I feel so bad about this whole thing. I could not help but cry when I read the last moments of the Ordinario family before Sally Ordinario-Villanueva was executed. Sally never knew that she will be already executed and was surprised to see her family there. They did not even let Sally talk to her children on mobile phone. May the murder of these three Pinoys be on the collective shoulders of the Chinese government. To think that the Philippine government boycotted the awarding of the Nobel prize to a Chinese dissident because of pressures from China and because the Philippines wanted to appease China and stay the execution of our convicted drug couriers. There are still more than 200 death sentences imposed on our kababayans in China. Must this incident be repeated again and again to the misery and chagrin of the Pilipino people and nation? We pray to the Lord to avenge us against the repressive regime of China and give ear to the millions of Pinoys who prayed throughout this whole ordeal. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Arvin,
Yes, I agree with you. China is not only cruel, it is also very arrogant and a bully. We cannot execute their nationals caught selling prohibited drugs in the Philippines because we no longer have a death sentence. Besides, every time a Chinese national is apprehended in the Philippines, China puts tremendous pressure on our government to just deport the offender to China. Talk of double standards of justice. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi teJan,
Yes, it is so harsh and they are so heartless. May the Lord deal with them ever so severely. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

Thanks,Mel, for your post. You shed light on some questions I had regarding that issue. It could happen to anyone we know.

In exchange for this favor the requesting person will give 100 dollars as thank you. Little does an OFW know that prohibited drugs are in that bag. I'm saying this as a warning to our fellow Filipinos.
That's how so-called "drug couriers" get trapped - because of poverty, when the truth is they are just victims of drug syndicates. Sana po masabihan tayong lahat to be alert.

May the Philippines wake up from it's slumber, May God bless the Philippines.

Thanks for the post, Mel. More power to you!

I am so busy.... Alam mo Mel, mas kilala mo pa ata ako kaysa sa mga friends ko, kasi nababasa mo mga nasa blog ko.... all the bad, and good side of me... wala nakakaalam ng blogs ko eh... some of them are skeptical to believe that we can make extra income from blogging.

Hi Reading Homeschooler,
I am so touched by your comment and your obvious desire to help our kababayans who may get involved in similar situations. Those foreign drug syndicate members know the weakness of Pinoys for being gracious in everything and for always lending a hand if need be. That they are tricked to bring prohibited drugs to another country without them aware of this is a most grievous and heinous act. May the Lord deal with them severely. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Same sentiments here.. I also feel sorry for our Philippine Government dahil napaka-hina nila.

Hi Bambie dear,
In fairness, the new government of P.Noy is trying its best to uplift the lives of Pinoys. It's just that the subalterns of former Pres. GMA are still well entrenched in the government and they are doing their utmost to scuttle the good intentions of P.Noy. Yes, change must start with the highest official of the land and all government officials for that matter. Small bribes leads to bigger bribes and corruption. That's the way with evil. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

Philippines should imposed the same strict rules on drugs para makita ng Filipino mismo that even in our country eh di talaga pwede ang magdeal ng drugs. I feel bad for them Kuya but it was their choice that could have been avoided..

Hi Rose,
Yes, I agree with you. There should be a no nonsense implementation of laws against drug trafficking and other related drug crimes. And criminals must be apprehended, tried and put to jail where they belong. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.
