Encounter With God
Why was Paul so fanatical in spreading the Gospel to the point that he gave his own life for it? Was not Paul the same person who persecuted the church and was the cause of death of so many early Christians? Was he not on his way to Damascus bearing with him a letter from the high priest to conduct a hunt for Christians there?
The answer is simple. He had an encounter with the very person he was persecuting. He was struck blind on the road to Damascus and Jesus showed Himself to him. From then on, he lived a life dedicated solely to the spread of the Gospel until he was arrested and executed in Rome.
We need that same encounter with God to fire us in our efforts to preach the Gospel of salvation to the entire world. We just have to hold on to His promise and must desire the encounter with all our heart.
Of all the people who went to the grave of Jesus, only one actually saw Him first. She was Mary Magdalene. She refused to leave the grave site until she saw her master and she was rewarded for her persistence. Jesus showed Himself to her.
God promised in Jeremiah 29: 13-14 that we can see Him if we seek Him with all our heart. Jeremiah 29: 13-14 says, You will seek Me and find Me if you seek Me with all of your heart, I will be found by you, declares the Lord." God never lies. He is always true to His words. Shall we start seeking God?

Amen to that. Kaya nga siguro may mga tao nag babago lng once they see miracles.
Visiting here Sir Mel. Hope okay na kayo. Just wondering bakit hindi ka rin na petition ng misis mo to follow her with the kids dito sa US, bakit anak lng makasunod. hope all is well, thanks for the post
Hi Shy,
Nawalan na kasi ako nang status dahil nag divorced kami to pave the way sa kanyang arranged marriage. The only way she can petition me is to remarry me again after their divorce. Hindi ko na tinitingnan yun. Ang mahalaga sa amin ay ang future nang mga bata. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.
i think if only we would look deeper we will know that we encounter God everyday in our lives, that if we are sensitive enough and appreciative enough, we will know how close he is and that he is watching over us in everything we do..
I was struck when I first heard the story of Peter, No one would have thought that the persecutor of Christianity in his time would suddenly become a fanatic and dedicated in spreading the good news about God. So amazing how God works in each and everyone's life. God is awesome!
Amen!! an encounter with God is so amazing that every christian/one must experience! thanks for sharing!
Hi Kimmy,
How right you are. The Bible says that we are the temple of the Holy Spirit and God is closer to us than we will ever know. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.
Hi Yen,
I think you mean Paul because he was originally a persecutor of Christians and approved the stoning to death of Stephen. And he was responsible in spreading the message of the Gospel to the known world during his time. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.
Hi Arvin,
Yes, miracles draw man closer to God. But God does not bestow miracles always. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.
Hi Laikka,
Aside from having a miraculous encounter with God experience, we can also avail of the Encounter With God Retreat to become a more enlightened Christian. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.
