Valley Of The Shadow Of Death

Have you been through the valley of the shadow of death? If so, what was your experience there? I have been through that valley so many times before that I lost count of them. My first experience there was when I was a little child barely six years old. I was pulling a toy cart at the backyard of my grandma in a faraway province where my mother was born. I never saw that old well since I was pulling my toy cart and was walking backwards. The next thing I knew was that I was falling inside that old scary well. It was an eerie experience as though I was transported to another world. All that I could remember was that scenes from my life flashed through the screen of my mind. I was lucky that it was summer during that time and the water level of the well was only chest deep. I became an instant celebrity in that quaint town when I was pulled out to safety still clutching my rubber slippers.

My next near death experiences occurred when I was already an adult. I have been with hypertension for more than twenty years now. I am also suffering from type 2 diabetes. I have congenital scoliosis (bone deformity) on my lower back. I also have acute hernia and prostate gland problem and an enlarge thyroid gland. I have been on the verge of near strokes so many times that I lost count of them. There were times when I thought death was already imminent. I had all the classic symptoms of full blown strokes except the actual stroke itself. Through all those near death experiences, I never panicked but I just relaxed and left my fate to my faithful God.
I was never afraid to die because I knew I would be with Him when I do. For more than twenty years now, He has kept me alive to bear witness to His faithfulness to those who really trust and believe in Him. MAY HIS NAME BE GLORIFIED FOREVERMORE.

Hi Dhemz,
Yung diabetes ko ay type 2 lang at hindi naman ako insulin dependent. Umiinom lang ako nang maintenance medicines para sa dalawang sakit ko. But God has been so good and gracious to me that I am still alive today. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

My mom died with diabetes complications 2 years ago..Diabetes is getting widespread nowadays and transformed to be a silent killer.

But Im glad to know Kuya Mel that you're not an insulin dependent. Which means that your diabetes can be contained pa.

What an experience Sir Mel. God is really good all the time. Imagine if ou fell in those well and no one know where you were, yung mga napapanoon natin sa TV na nahuhulog sa well diba. thats what I thought when i read your story.

It's incredible how your faith keep you that strong Sir Mel. I mean think this way. we are just human and you are aware how some people feel so bitter and ungrateful with thier life because they can't have the thing they want but look at you, you survive and keep fighting all the trials and obstacles in your life. God bless you always Sir Mel.

Sabi nga nila pag nanganak daw you have 50-50 in life. but thank god i did not have a difficult delivery. others maybe have near death experience sa panganganak. Hindi ako nahulog sa well, pero nahulog ako sa grease trap sa KFC, hindi kamatayan naranasan ko kundi kahihiyan at kabantotan hehehehe. sensya nagpapatawa nanaman hehe.

Kung ang lahat siguro ng tao may ganyang katalinohan at pag-iisip the way they deal with life, wala sigurong war ano hehehe. isa na ako natatamaan sa sinasabi ko na bitter minsan, God bless and thanks for the post

Hi Arvin,
You were so lucky to have survived that ordeal. Had the appendix burst before you have gone to the hospital for immediate operation, you could have died then. Praise the Lord that you survived that ordeal. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Umma,
Would you believe that I should have been dead twenty years ago? I needed emergency operations five years ago for acute hernia, prostate gland, for severe scoliosis of my lower back and acute thyroid gland aside from the fact that the doctors who looked at me during that time were aghast at my severe hypertension and type 2 diabetes. They changed all my maintenance medicines but I have to forgo said operations because I already exceeded my medical insurance coverage as dependent of my wife who had to surrender her medical insurance card because she resigned from work to work in the US. Until now I am still alive to tell of God's amazing grace and tender mercy. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Shy,
You always bring laughter and joy to me with your zany remarks. Manang mana nga si Justine sa iyo, pareho kayong kenkay, hehehe. I just could imagine the embarrassment you got when you fell into that grease hole, ang bantot mo siguro nuon, hehehe. Paano ka nakauwi? Siguro naman ay nakapaligo ka muna para maalis yung bantot, hehehe. Thanks for your visit my friend. Just like Justine, you always make my day. God bless you all always.

the only time i remember having a near death experience was when i gave birth to my first born. my water bag broke untimely but i didn't realize how serious it was. so, i was almost dried up when i was taken to the hospital. at first i was scared, but then i suddenly felt like LETTING GO, and i was even surprised when i felt excited by the idea that i would finally see the Lord in heaven. i couldn't understand why i felt that way when i wasn't even sure if i would go to heaven, hehe..

Hi Kimmy,
The intimation is always there that we will see God when we die but the surety is not. That is why God said, "you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free" (John 8:32). Would not it be nice to have that feeling of certainty that we will see God when we die? Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Tin-tin,
I am never worried about that. Yun na lang ang consolation ko for all my sufferings. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.
