Joy Is Constant, Happiness Is Transitory

Happiness is transitory. It is dependent on the attainment of a desired goal, a cherished dream, a long sought after quest. After the effects of its achievement fade away, it is quickly gone, replaced by another illusory quest, another obsessive goal. Thus happiness is not lasting. After the initial euphoria has died down, it is replaced by a holy discontent, an empty feeling in one's soul. Not so with joy. It is the indescribable feeling etched in one's heart and soul brought about by the certitude of God's presence in one's life. It is the feeling of security and peace that nothing will happen to a person that is not ordained by God as good. It is the inner feeling of knowing in no uncertain terms that one's final goal is union with God in His heavenly abode. Joy is never dependent on outside circumstances but on the inner feeling of oneness with God. It is the intimate relationship with God who is no longer perceived as transcendent and beyond reach by our knowledge and senses but as immanent because He is actually living inside us. Joy is knowing that we are the temple of the Holy Spirit and that we are being transformed by Him from glory to glory until we reach the whole measure of the fullness of Jesus Christ. Joy is knowing that at the end of our temporary pilgrimage on earth, we shall meet our Lord who will wipe all tears in our eyes as He beckons us to live with Him in His heavenly abode forevermore. THAT IS INDESCRIBABLE JOY.

Amazing Love

All the religions in the world prescribe norms of salvation centered mainly on what the person must do to attain eternal life. All of the religions of the world focus on the accomplishment of man to transcend his evil ways and become a godly man through acts of good works and piety. Thus salvation, according to these religions, is accomplished by what man does to himself. Man must accomplish his own salvation. Christianity differs in its approach to salvation. To the Christian, salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Thus, no amount of good works alone can carry man to his own salvation without the saving faith in Jesus Christ. To the philosophers, this is salvation by vicarious atonement. The punishment that should have been heaped on sinful man was voluntarily shouldered by Jesus Christ. The Man without sin became sin to save the lost. Thus salvation is attained through faith in Jesus Christ by accepting Him as our Lord and savior. It is a deep mystery of supreme love and sacrifice that the King of kings and the Lord of lords, the Creator of all things seen and unseen, should die in our place. And because of that, we have access to eternal life. The only price we have to pay is to humble ourselves before God and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior. The writings are on the wall. We are nearing the end times. And to those who steadfastly waited on the Lord and have been faithful to Him till the end, they will be rewarded when He finally comes back to earth. THAT IS HIS AMAZING LOVE FOR HIS FLOCK.

Amazing Love - Chris Tomlin

You Have Tried Everything, Why Not Try God?

All your life you have searched for the meaning of life. All your life you have felt that emptiness in your soul as it yearns for something which you cannot clearly discern or understand. You were molded to be an obedient child, nurtured in the best ways of civility, but somewhere along the way, you lost that longing to be pure and chaste. You have tried everything, everything that the world pursues after. You have run the race to get the winner's prize. But at the end of the day, you are still lonely and lost. You poured your heart out to your beloved only to find betrayal and more emptiness. There were days you feel so alone and without a friend. And sometimes, you even contemplated on ending it all and just vanish from existence. But you hold on, mindful that there is something more to life than all these endless frivolities and sham pleasure seeking. That there is a higher purpose in life than being drowned in an existence of sheer hypocrisy and lies to make it appear that you are on top of the world. You have tried everything from booze, to drugs, to sex, to denial of everything that is good. But where did it lead you? You are always back to being lonely and hating yourself and others. Oh how you envy those that seemed to have found their purpose in life, who have lived a fulfilled life. How you envy that sublime smile of a child as she plays with abandon under the sun. How you envy the little ones who always exude sheer joy in their innocent faces. Why can't you be like them? You have tried everything but failed. WHY NOT TRY GOD? He is there for you 24/7. He is always available to hear your corniest jokes, your tales of pains, frustrations and fears. And yes, He loves you so much. He died on the cross for you, didn't He? He is knocking at the door of your heart. WOULD YOU LET HIM IN?

Emergency Prayer Request For The Grandfather of Penlighted

May I humbly request my readers and friends to please pray for the grandfather of Penlighted who was diagnosed with brain tumor and may have to undergo a brain operation in the Philippines. Let us also pray that God provide them the financial means to cover all the expenses for her grandfather. By the stripes of Jesus Penlighted's grandfather is healed. This we pray heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, through the ministry of the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen. Thank you all very much. God bless us all.

*** Message of Penlighted
Just a while ago we received a news from my relatives in the Philippines. My grandfather, the father of my mom, is in the ICU right now and was diagnosed to have a brain tumor. He was given medicines and the doctors said that if he won't respond to it they will see if he can have an operation. As of now we really don't have the complete details of how he is...

I am humbly asking your prayers for my grandfather that may he receive a complete healing through God's love and mercy with the medicines that he will be taking. Please also pray for our family that may we all be ready in terms of our financial so we can help our grandfather.

Thank you very much for all your prayers.

Latest Update of The Condition of Penlighted's Grandfather

Please Help us Pray for My Grandfather

As I was writing my previous entry about my prayer request for my grandfather, I was not really aware of how he is doing for we only had received a text message from my brother that he is in the ICU and that he was diagnosed to have brain tumor. The news didn't actually sink in but I know I have to humble myself and ask for more prayers. A while ago I was able to chat with my aunt and the news is heartbreaking.

My aunt was not able to give me the medical terms about the diagnosis but she had told me that the size of the tumor is 5.5cm x3.5cm x3.5cm(LWT). His bladder is now distended because he was not able to urinate even if he already has the catheter. He also needs to have insulin shots right now.

The most heartbreaking part is that we can't afford to give him the right treatment that he needs. For less than 2 days the initial bill in the hospital was 15000php, about $300, and the CT scan costs 7000php (about $150). She said that the nurses in the hospital were already scolding them because they can't buy the medicines that my grandfather needs. They brought my grandfather to a private hospital during the emergency because it was the nearest to them but now that they had decided to bring him to a public hospital, the private hospital won't release him because the bills are not yet paid. The longer they stay in the private hospital, the more the bills will increase and they are just staying there for the doctors and the room and not for his treatment. Some of the needed tests were not yet done because they don't have the money to pay for the lab.

='( It is painful because my aunt said that my grandfather is still fighting. If only we could have money to give them...but I believe this is not just about the money. God is still the best healer and even without the money, if He permits, I know he'll be well. I know He is with us and everything will just be fine through Him.

Please help us pray for him and for our family.

Thank you very much.

Trust God

Trust God when you cannot trust everybody else including yourself. You can never place your full trust in other people, even your family and loved ones, even your dearest friends, even your own feelings and emotions, and even your thoughts.
Everything in the world changes. The only thing that never ever change in the world is God and His words. The world will change and will one day end. Heaven and earth will one day pass away, but God and His words will never ever pass away. They remained constant since the beginning and will remain as they were till the end.

How many times have other people let us down? How many times when even our closest friends, relatives and loved ones disappointed us one way or the other? How many times when our own feelings and emotions let us down? How many times have we strived to reach the ultimate goal of our life but failed? Why? Because this world and all of creation were born to be imperfect and not to last. Only when we surrender ourselves to the grace of God and put on the full armor of God are we finally transformed by God from glory to glory until we reach the whole measure of the fullness of God. One day we will be fetched by the Lord to assume our own glorified bodies. Then we will no longer change and be subject to all the imperfections of the world. When all things fail in you- your thoughts, your feelings and your relationship with others, just remember to fully trust in God. He alone and His words are the only constant things in this world. AND THEY NEVER CHANGE.

Bless And Be A Conduit Of God's Blessings To Others

Bless everybody. Even yourself. Even God. As we bless, we partake of God's sovereign power to declare good to others. Even if we are offended or hurt by others, bless instead of cursing. Blessing is a very potent force sought by all in the olden times of the Old Testament. Blessing was so treasured by the Jews that Jacob even stole the blessings of his elder brother Esau which was Esau's by birthright. Cursing is the opposite of blessing and bring untold miseries and negative consequences to those who are cursed. Balak commissioned false prophet Balaam to make a curse on Israel but God made it into a blessing even making a donkey talked to Balaam to rebuke him.

Man has the potential for good or evil by the power of the spoken word and the power of imagery in his mind. He can ordain good or bad on his fellow man. God gave this power to man when He created him to be the overseer of all of God's creation but under His supreme sovereignty. This power was diminished by the fall of man at Eden but was regained by him through the death and eventual victory of Christ on the cross.

So we pray and we bless as we partake with the power of God to ordain blessings to others. Always bless because the blessings will not only be bestowed on those you blessed but on you as well. That is how God's economy works. WE PARTAKE OF THE SAME BLESSINGS OR CURSES WE BESTOW ON OTHERS. GOD BLESS US ALL.
