Salvation Is By Grace Through Faith In Jesus Christ

While Jesus Christ was crucified and was dying on the cross, two thieves were crucified along with Him. One of them was saved and went with Jesus Christ into Paradise that very same day. The other was not saved but died in his sins destined for eternal damnation. Both led crooked criminal lives that merited them the supreme punishment from Roman penal law- death on the cross. What transpired that both of them differed in their final destination after their death?

This also answers the very way to salvation for all mankind. SALVATION IS BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST. Salvation can never be attained through good works alone. If this were so, the Father would not have sacrificed His only begotten Son to an excruciating and humiliating death on the cross. He could have just prescribed prescriptions for good works to attain salvation. Some observe holiness during the Holy Week then go back to their usual life after that. Some hurt their bodies through self flagellation. Others even go to the extremes of having themselves nailed to the cross. These are all insulting to the Father. All that they have to do is humble themselves before God and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior. The good works come as fruits of their being at one with Jesus Christ.

Now the other thief on the cross attained salvation by putting his faith and trust in Jesus Christ. That final act of his merited him the grace of salvation from Jesus Christ. THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO HEAVEN AND THAT IS THROUGH JESUS CHRIST.
"Jesus answered, 'I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6). "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).

Manny Pacquaio KO's Ricky Hatton In The 2nd Round

Manny Pacquiao Sends Ricky Hatton To The Canvas

Manny Pacquiao Staggers Ricky Hatton With A Left

Pacquiao Tagging Hatton With A Right

Manny Pacquiao, a national hero in the Philippines and the current pound for pound champion of the world, knocked out the flamboyant Ricky Hatton in the second round of their scheduled 12 round title bout. Pacquiao decked the bull rushing Hatton twice in the very first round before finishing him off in the second round with a power punch left hook. It was by far the most spectacular victory by the new golden boy of boxing who humbles himself before the Lord in his every fight. Top Rank promoter Bob Arum even cited Manny as on the way to becoming the greatest fighter who ever lived. Pacquiao's stunning victory silenced the normally rackuous British fight fans who came in droves at the fight arena to witness their own national hero. Even the repressive Floyd Mayweather Sr., Hatton's trainer, was humiliated by the quickness of Pacquiao's victory. It clearly vindicated Freddie Roach and further cemented his hold as the best boxing trainer in the world. Two more spectacular victories against current title holders will officially cement Pacquiao's claim to being the greatest fighter of all time.

Be Strong For The Lord

If you are suffering from all kinds of trials and persecutions, take heart, BE STRONG FOR THE LORD. God is shaking the world from its very foundations to determine who are His and who are not His own. The children of God who will remain faithful to the very end will be fetched by the Lord upon His return. In the meantime, we must stand our guard, ever vigilant against the wiles and unrelenting attacks of the enemy, lest we succumb to temptation and fall into grievous sin. No amount of temptation, persecution or trials can ever bring us down because God will always give us sufficient grace to triumph over them. We do not use our own strength and wisdom but we rely on the Holy Spirit to see us through every dire situations in our lives. Remember, "not by might nor by power but by My Spirit, says the Lord Almighty" (Zechariah 4:6b). We are pilgrims here on earth so that we look at the distant horizon to watch for the return of the Lord to take His bride- His church that is blameless, unblemished and wrinkle free. In the meantime, we suffer all kinds of trials to cleanse us from all impurities and vestiges of the world that are still clinging on us. It is best that we renew our mind by setting its sight on things above not on things below. We should live in order to please God and in everything that we do, we do it all for the glory of God. We surrender everything to God- our lives, our will, our destinies, our loved ones, everything we got, and trust the Lord that He will do what is best for us. We may groan from the sheer weight of the crosses we are bearing right now but in the end, the Lord will wipe every tears in our eyes as He beckons us to come and live with Him forevermore. So take heart and BE STRONG FOR THE LORD.

God Is Ever Faithful

When I was a new Christian, a Christian relative of mine warned me by welcoming me to a new world of persecutions and trials. I remembered I shuddered just by the thought of it. But her words became prophetic. After the initial bursts of miracles and blessings, my family and I underwent our desert experience. It was so heart and strength sapping during those times and the thoughts lingered in our collective minds whether God was true to His promises. I became more active in my ministries forgetting all about our personal problems by immersing myself on the deep troubles and frustrations of others. Giving solace and comfort to others, I realized that we were not so unfortunate after all. God provided for all our needs during those trying times and lifted us to a more comfortable life. I realized then that God purposely permitted His children to undergo trials of all kinds so that their characters will be molded to the pattern He wants from them. Thus the suffering servants emerge triumphant, stronger and more resilient to withstand the storms of life. I gained comfort from the promise of God that His compassions never fail. They are new every morning (Lamentations 3: 22-23). I learned to trust God with all my heart and not to rely on my own strength and intelligence (Proverbs 3: 5-6). I surrendered every thing to Him, even my life. How many times have I been led to the portals of death? I lost count already. All I can say is that, whatever happens to me I am assured of eternal life with the Lord. AND THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS TO ME. TO GOD BE THE GLORY.

A Re-Post From Bluebirdy - Life 4-Hours At A Time

Live Life Fully -

Please pray for Shiela. Your prayers can go a long way to ease her pains and discomfort. It will cost us nothing but a few moments of communing with God to alleviate her sufferings. Will we deny her those few significant moments? - Thank you so much and God bless us all - Mel

In case you can't read this, it says:
Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets.
So love the people who treat you right,
Forget about the ones who don't,
And believe that everything happens for a reason,
If you get a chance, take it,
If it changes your life, let it,
Nobody said it would be easy,
They only promised it would be worth it.

I need to ask for prayer. I have severe vertigo and nausea and passing out and I can barely sit up or eat or drink anything. There is so much that needs to be done, shopping, banking, errands, preparing my husband's arrival, I really need to be able to function enough to even feel well enough to give someone else instructions if I can hire someone to help me do these things, but I'd rather do them myself. Thanks in advance.
Blessings, Sheila

Be Grateful To God For Everything- The Key To More Blessings and Contentment

After accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior, always thank God for everything, even for things that you do not understand. This will create a condition of total surrender to the will of the Lord and you will be rewarded with a life of contentment and more blessings. Thanking God for all our blessings and even for unfortunate circumstances in our life means that we totally trust God to take care of all our needs. Even if we are in the midst of severe trials and fortuitous events, we must trust God that He will deliver us from all adversities the way He delivered Joseph, Daniel and Job from their seemingly insurmountable problems. In the end, God rewarded their complete trust and confidence in Him. A thankful person has peace of mind and is well loved by people because he appreciates even the smallest act of kindness done to him. Compare this to a person who is always complaining and is very negative in all his views in life. He is avoided like a plague by everybody. Being always thankful shows a character of humility and gratitude- traits that will surely endear a person to everybody he meets. He has a pleasant disposition and is ever patient and enduring in his relationship with others. Always thank others for even the littlest things we received from them. That is the secret for good interpersonal relationship. And thank God for everything He does for us. That is the secret to further open up God's storehouse of blessings.
